I just bought a new (Red) Mitsubishi Outlander Sport SE AWD today.

Not mine - just some picture I found on Google Images
I'm gonna need a new LSP because Meguiar's Ultimate Paste Wax is really not impressing me.

I'm trying to decide between Wolf's Body Wrap ,Blackfire and Zaino.
The one thing that's swaying me away from Wolf's is needing to use their shampoo & QD. I've got at least 4 gallons of shampoo and I really don't want to leave it sitting in a corner to gather dust while I pay for a new shampoo. I'm also not too crazy about putting on a product that has to be polished off.
I won't be able to order everything at once - I'll probably place a small order every couple of weeks until I have every thing I need.
I very seriously doubt that I need to polish the vehicle but I will definitely be claying.

If you dont want to use the Wolfs Chemicals Nanobathe and Nano QD then do with Blackfire Wet Diamond. I also like Carpro Reload as an LSP its very easy to apply because its a spray sealant and you still get the nano protection for about 4 to 5 months I personally think its far better than Blackfire Wet Diamond and Menzerna Powerlock. Aquartz Reload is essentially the same thing so you can get whichever you want and you can still use your regular car wash with it.

Seems like that would be a problem in Winter too. There's no way I'm gonna try to try to wash my SUV by hand next Winter when it's 10 below zero and there's snow up to my neck. That means automatic washes (touchless of course) which would screw up Bodywrap after one month.

I just remembered that I tried Blackfire and it really didn't impress me that much. I thought Werkstat looked better.
I'm really leaning towards Zaino. I've been wanting to try that stuff for ages.

Any one else have any opinions on CarPro Reload vs Zaino?

I've had nothing but great results and durability with Zaino, either Z2 or Z5. One of my all time favorite LSP's.

what zaino product are you referring too? Ive used both Zaino CarPro, BFWD and MPL...........where I live it made zero difference, all lasted about the same. CarPro is a great product you can mist it on the car right after a wash and it works as a drying aid and leaves some great protection. Im not partial to any of the a fore mentioned. all great products.

it sheets.... its a sealant. it will not compare to a traditional or even a hybrid wax. everything you are noting is a sealant, and will sheet water, you will get beading, but if you want tight beading you are best advised to use a wax. What you can do is a use a sealant then top with a wax, the durability is really good, and the look is fantastic, but again its all based on how well you prepped the paint.

what are you looking for? longevity? beading? or both?

nothing wrong with that combo, its will sheet water like no other, but it all depends on how much water is introduced, is a rain,? dew? fog? or someone hosing it down? all factors that determine beading.

Yes, it pretty much sheets, except the roof, which normally sits close to level, then I get small, tight beads. My wifes car has multiple layers of Z2/Z5. I rotate between them on each application.

I would save yourself a few bucks and skip buying the ZFX. For me, I feel its a waste of money and not needed unless you plan on doing more than one layer in a 24 hour period. I like to wash/clay, polish, ZAIO then either Z2 or Z5. I let the Z2/Z5 sit while I do the interior and other small detail stuff, usually a couple of hours. Then I remove it, and add a second layer after the next wash. I use the PC with a red finishing pad to apply it.

Longevity and appearance are more important than beading

Thanks for the suggestion! I really don't think I'm gonna be putting on more than one layer per day so I think I'll skip the ZFX.

Then Zaino will work perfectly....... Zaino has outstanding durability, you will not be disappointed.

Yeah, durability of Z2 or Z5 is amazing. I can often get 5 months of solid beading and protection out of just 2-3 layers of either one in our super harsh Florida summers. Our summers get into the 100's, then we get daily torrential downpours at 2 o'clock day after day, and Zaino still keeps going. I apply the layers over a two to three week period, then just washes and Z6 in between. To be fair, the cars are in the garage at night, but parked outside during the day. But durability is still great.

I am a long time Zaino user (over 10 years) and would only say that if you use their ZFX product, it will allow you to apply the maximum amount of layers (3) in a 24 hour period, and then you are done for several months. If you have time to wait and apply a layer every 24 hours, that's ok too, but if you want to get it done and over with, the ZFX'd Z2 would be the way to go.

My former local Zaino Rep, had a red Toyota Solara and it must have had 100 layers of Zaino - it looked very, very, glossy, and was the only one I had ever seen look that great.

If you decide to go with Zaino pls advise; I have used it enough to be able to apply 3 layers on about any vehicle using around 1/4-1/2 oz in a little plastic bottle that I would be glad to send you some of so you dont go and use those big honker bottles they send with the ZFX kit. . You can vary the drying/curing time by how many drops of ZFX you use and how humid and/or cold it is in your garage..

Good luck, hope you find the best product for your needs !
