Hey guys, I've been reading this forums for a while now and since spring just hit I am thinking of starting my purchase on my detailing stuff for the summer. I am in Ontario so I was thinking of sticking with eShine, save on shipping cost and is close, but they don't have the Makita polisher, but they got rotary pads, which I like. I will be using this towards a black sapphire BMW mainly, and possibly other cars but I am getting these stuff geared towards my own car. I am thinking of picking up 2 polish and 3 pads, I wouln't mind getting a even finer polish than the nano finish, or even a glaze to put on the blue pad. So far I made a list up of things I will probably need, any suggestion will be awesome, thanks! Polisher: Makita 9227c ( don't know where I can get that, if anyone can point me towards the direction of getting it, that'd be great) Pads: white/black/blue 4" Lake Country (eShine) white/black/blue 8" Lake Country (eShine) Polish: Menzerna Super Finish Nano Polish PO106FA (32oz) (eShine) Menzerna Super Intensive Polish PO83Q (32 oz) (eShine) Wax: Autoglym HD wax (ebaying this) Sealant: Wolfgang sealant (eShine) Leather: Cleaner/conditioner: Klasse VLR Protectant 250ml (eShine) Carpet: A spray can I used before, works pretty well but I forgot the name OR: Chemical Guys Lightning FAST CARPET+UPHOLSTERY STAIN EXTRACTOR CLEANER & STAIN REMOVER w/sprayer (16oz) (eShine) Windows: spray can I used, works pretty well but I hate how it gets onto the paint/trim when its windy or if I spray it from to far, so any other suggestions to get another product to avoid that would be great! Tires: Chemical Guys GEL-EXTENDED LIFE NEW LOOK TRIM GEL (16oz) (eShine) Rims: Poorboy's sealant (eShine) Exhaust: Any suggestion would be great! I tired this CT brand alum polish but if you guys know of a better polish and sealant that would be great! brushes: Looking at the brush from eShine but might just go local for these, any specific brands you'd get? Wash mits: Lake country foam wash sponge (eShine) Bins: 2Xbins+grit guard (eShine) Do I want to spend an extra $70 for the foam canon? Not sure about that, it looks super useful though. Clay bay: Pinnacle ultra poly clay (4oz) (eShine) Microfiber: 1X dehydrator drying towel (eShine) 3X cookie monster buffing towel (eShine) QD/clay lube: pinnacle clay lube (eShine) interior vinyl/other trim: same as tires: Chemical Guys GEL-EXTENDED LIFE NEW LOOK TRIM GEL (16oz) (eShine) shampoo/degreaser: P21s total auto wash (eShine) CG citrus wash (eShine) I'd appreciate any suggestions, thanks guys!:worship2:
you can get the makita from Phil at detailersdomain http://www.detailersdomain.com/makita9227cx3rotarypolisher.aspx :thumb: edit: oh wait, just read that you are in ontario...not sure how much shipping is to canada
I was actually trying to order that a few weeks ago, but sadly it stated that they don't ship to Canada.
Skip the WG DPGS. Its not really that spectacular. I have an almost full bottle that just sits on the shelf. Grab some 4* UPP, BFWD or the new Menz Powerlock. Leather: 303 Protectant or Opt Protectant Plus Carpet: Zep High Traffic Glass: Zep Glass Cleaner Concentrate(green one) Rims: (Use the same sealant your using for your paint. ) Claybar: Since your in Canada grab some Riccardo Yellow. Clay lube: ONR diluted Shampoo: Opt car wash and ONR
Thanks Lasthope, wondering if you can explain a few things for me. by WG DPGS, do you mean the wolfgang sealant, and Menz powerlock do you mean : Menzerna Power Lock Polymer Sealant - 32oz | Detailed Image . Can the 303 protectant work for the vinyl too? The bmw interior isn't the smooth type its got a little wrinkle and such. Don't think eshine have the ZEP products, can I get them at home depot or such? ONR is optimum no rinse? Is that the car wash that doesn't require rinsing? Thanks!
Yes I am talking about Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant(WG DGPS) and Menzerna PowerLock Polymer Sealant in my above post. The 303 Protectant is like an all around Protectant. You can use it on vinyl, leather, tires(rubbber),plastic trim, and as an engine bay dressing. The ZEP products is from Home Depot so you can pick them up there. While you're there make sure to pick up some Zep Citrus Degreaser also as its a good APC/Degreaser. Yes ONR is Optimum No Rinse. Its the rinsless car wash that doesnt require a ton of water to wash your car and very useful, especially in the winter time. ONR can be diluted to be used as a car wash, clay lube, or quick detailer so its a good product to have around. I would pick up a bottle of this and maybe the Optimum car wash also. Optimum car wash, along with ONR, is one of my favorite shampoos. Its super slick, suds lasts forever, requires very little( 0.5oz or less with 1 gal of water) and smells like blueberries!
Check out Acklands Grainger for the makita polisher, they're an industrial supply wholesaler and they've got locations everywhere, most have walk in sales. Here's a link https://www.acklandsgrainger.com/AGIPortalWeb/WebSource/Main/begin.do?language=en Edit, here's the link to the polisher itself, can be ordered online, all in CAD https://www.acklandsgrainger.com/AG...lisher?Ntk=All&Ntx=mode+matchallpartial&Nty=1
Awesome! I just picked up the Autoglym HD wax, wax applicator, and vinyl/rubber dressing from Canadian tire. Hope to replace 303 aerospace protectant with the autoglym rubber/vinyl protectant.
