    Hi guys

I just spent all day correcting my paint after copping a severe bout of the water spots, and thinking of using my DWG 2.0 as a glaze then seal with either Powerlock of BFWD

For those that have used DWG 2.0, did you apply by machine? I would prefer to apply by machine on a red or black LC pad for a quicker app. Is it easy to remove? Like Prima Amigo easy? And does it have any cleaning ability - will it remove any polishing oils/smearing that ive missed?

Now as for the sealant, last time i used BF WD i got sealant holograms in the paint from admiteddly over applying by hand. Is it easier by machine? Does it spread as smooth as PowerLock. Id hate to have spent all day correcting and getting rid of my water spotting, to seal with BF WD and find holograms next wash

One thing I can tell you for absolute certain, is that detail shoppe wet glaze 2.0 will not give you those sealant holograms you mentioned. It completely cures almost on contact.

It (DWG 2.0) doesn't continue to wipe around the car seeming to never dry like many of the newer super slick sealants.

Those sealant holograms or "oily" sealants are a pet peeve of mine also. There is nothing like polishing your car to perfection, pulling it out in the sun, and finding oily residue that simply will never cure.

I know that you may know this, but a wipe down with distilled water will likely straighten those sealant oils out, but who wants to add yet another step to an already long process?

I have only used a pinch of the BFWD, so I cannot help you there.

The DWG can be applied my machine quite easily on a red pad. It comes off easy and the resulting slickness will make you pee your pats. AFAIK Sam, it is strictly a glaze with no cleaning or correcting abilities. As for the BFWD, the only time I have had issues with it leaving anything was when I over applied it. Get it on thin by hand or machine and let it dry completely and you should be ok. I actually spreads easier than Powerlock. I find Powerlock feels "thick" compared to BFWD.

I like to apply DWG with a 100ppi pad, it goes on super easily and even easier to apply. You can apply it under a sealant or wax, on top or in between. It will leave a really nice wet, deep and slick finish and has no cleaning abilities at all.

    thanks for the help fellas

when i tried BFWD, i had to keep wiping my bonnet all night. It would haze, id wipe with iced distilled water and almost immediately it would haze up again

i really want to give the BFWD another shot, but might save it for a different colour and not my solid black. PL in comparison was idiotproof

looking forward to see what finish the DWG 2.0 gives. I had to correct with 203S on a white LC as 106FA wasnt removing all the water spots. And i still havent finished on my bonnet, ive gone two passes with 203S on an orange LC and now need to refine it with a white pad
