Just curious what others use for polishing towels. I've been very true to my uber blue and red towels but after time they are linting like mad even after different wash methods were used to try to cure the problem. No luck :(

I'm thinking about picking up some of the yellow towels from that bulk wholesaler siteor just going with Pakshak, as they have never linted on me at all.

    Cheers!

Cobra Arctic Whites are great for wax and polish removal but they are super duper thin so it has to be your preference for thin buffing towels to appreciate them.

This is a GREAT thread which I am following carefully. I've used only a couple types of MF towels and the only one that I've used that is plush (at least on one side) and doesnt "lint" is the Blue Max towel from car care specialties. They are stupid expensive though. I'd love to find an MF that doesnt leave any lint behind.
I remember crying about the Blackfire WetDiamond and how it attracted dust immediately and I had no idea that it was actually the garbage white Microfiber towels that they included in the kit that was the culprit. Those little devils lint no matter what I remove with them.

PS.. FWIW, I have found that the non-plush MF's lint alot less than the fluffy ones. I know, Duhhhh...

Uber no name from DD gets my vote. I want to buy a bunch of them, stitch them together, and use it as a blanket!

I've used the Uber Green "No Name" for a while, and mine is linting like crazy! What are you guys using for soap to clean them? I wash them seperately with no other laundry, so I can only think that it's the detergent that I am using. I might need to try the PakShak, but I like the plushness of phil's towel.

Are you using the special MF detergent. Mine are not linting at all.

Cold wash, MF detergent, and air, or light heat dry.

I am glad to hear that Phils towels are better but unless The BlueMax towels have DRAMATICALLY changed over the last 3 years or so, There is no way they could possibly suck. Either that or I know nothing about what makes a Microfiber good or bad. From my experience, they are very adept at wiping off wax, polish and QD. They clean up beautifully. They've lasted for 3 years and I wash them with whatever detergent my wife has in the laundry room at the time. They have beautiful and durable edge molding and most off all, they absolutely dont lint one bit period.

They are expensive and I am glad Phil's towels are percieved as better (and they are cheaper) cuz I like Phil. He is not a know it all (even though he does know it all), Nome sayin..

    Thanks, Joe D.

Pakshak Ultra Plush is nice, but if you want a really plush towel, get the Big Boy. Oh, and they don't lint no matter what soap you are using.

No, using Tide! Does the MF detegent make that big of a difference?

It doesn't take super long. Ranney is pretty good on quickness of shipping and depending what method of shipping you choose it should take no longer then a week at the most. Sometimes you must sacrifice a little time to get the goods :headbang:

You can continue to get these with Ranney as they have been available for a couple years now:

    Green Monster Ultra Plush

Most likely the detergent . . . . you can use regular laundry soap but it should be die free as well as no fabric softeners. Arm & Hammer makes a soap that is perfect for those and you can also toss in some microfiber detergent as well.

    They both are plush

I have never used a dryer to dry my towels. Usually wash and hang dry and my towels have been going for 2 years strong.

That's for sure :thud: They are the only towels in my arsenal for now . . . . . but i see no reason to change
