I'm supposed to do a last minute detail on Friday assuming I can get some products in the mail on time, I need brushes for wheels and brakes, tire dressing and a good applicator for wheel wax. Can anyone help me out with some suggestions? I've been looking at swissvax brushes but I'm just not sure what to purchase. As for the best applicators for wheel wax, I'm just not sure at all. Also, in case I can't get the rest of the products I need, can someone verify that what I have for Friday will still do a good job? Also as a side note, he doesn't want the interior done, just the exterior.
Your list looks okay for getting through a detail. Probably want to pick something up for the wheel wells/tires. Pep boys is supposed to have Surf City stuff, if you want to buy it locally. You say you have no sealant for the glass? Use the blackfire.
I don't think I have much choice at this point in time, I appreciate the confidence booster. The blackfire would be ok? How should I go about applying it to the glass? Microfiber towel?
Oh, and for the engine bay, go to home depot. Zep makes an APC. Be very careful with engines. I only spray chemicals with spray bottle, agitate with swissvax wheel brush, and to rinse i spray with ONR from a spray bottle. Use the hose at your own risk.
ONR? Sorry, I'm not familiar with the term. I also get very nervous about hoses with engine bays. I don't think I'll be using one as I'm going to be detailing a 2009 GT-R, I don't want to take any risks like that.
Think an all purpose cleaner and 303 aerospace will be enough for the engine? Also, do you know of any over the counter brushes I could buy? I have a couple at home but I'd like to see what else is out there.
