So i would like to start polishing my moms, and Dads cars, along with mine. But the only problem is, i dont know how. haha. And after reading articles about burning the paint, it has gotten me nervous about trying it. The cars i would be polishing would be BMWs, Mercedes, Cadilac, ford, and porsche. If you guys can try to point me in the right direction as far as polishes, machines, etc. I would really appreciate it. Also tips, and how to's would help tremendously!

    Thanks-

What type of machine will you be using to polish with?

Since you are new and apprehensive, I would imagine that you would start with a PC. If so, this is a great guide to read.

I have no clue, haha, but i saw like the flex, which is dual action, so isnt that safe to use?

Yeah get a PC, really hard to do damage with that. Although i dont like recomending it, because once you catch the bug you will want to start over with a more powerful machine, and you will use that instead of your pc..so i feel it a waste of money...although there are tons of uses for it, i still feel that way

Yeah the PC is a good beginner's tool and I still have uses for it. However, I just dont' use it as much as I used to when I first started detailing.

I agree with everyones opinion...The positive thing about starting with the PC is you got started and you can always sell, trade or keep. The other positive thing is you win...:thumb:
