Nastified trim pieces

Have been coming across some exterior trim pieces on a few recent details, and my normal go-tos, IPA cut 50% or citrus degreaser 1:3, is not doing the trick.
Some of the defects in the trim that IPA is not taking care of: fading, water-spots, wax residue.

I've been reading up a bit on alternative products for cleaning these pieces such as OPT power clean, and 1z deep plastic and w99. I am also interested in picking up gTechniq's trim restorer product, but want to make sure the surface is super clean beforehand. Plus, for cars I don't use the gTechniq product on, I want to make sure the trim is completely cleaned.

What do you guys think about the two 1z products mentioned above. Again, this is for the really bad exterior trim, not the everyday stuff that cleans up with IPA or citrus degreaser.
    TIA

1z deep plastic cleaner is a GREAT plastic cleaner and used it before a quick IPA wipe down when I applied C4. It will really deep clean the plastic of anything on it...I would use that for plastic cleaning.

X2 on the 1Z Deep Plastic Cleaner! Agpatel do you happen to have any W99? If not try it, also works wonders on the nasties.Ive diluted it up to 1:10.Looked like the spray bottle was just filled with water but still maintained pretty effective cleaning power.

Same here on the 1Z deep plastic cleaner. Stuff is awesome!

Yep have a bottle of w99, GREAT degrease! Use it alot on lowers and suspension work...also great to clean wheel barrels with tar and junk.

Sounds like 1z deep plastic is going to do the trick. However, w99 is stronger, and can be used on wheel barrels for tar? Would it be smarter to just pick up a bottle of w99 since it can be used on more types of material, including really bad trim?

I got this a while back from Michael at 1Z.

    Hi Darren,

Blitz is closer to Plastic Deep Cleaner's alkaline level than W99. W99 has to be use with care around some materials such as unfinished aluminum, plexiglass and acrylic. Blitz, like PDC, can be used on a multitude of surfaces.

Blitz can be used to clean upholstery (particulary with an extractor), leather, vinyl, headliner, as a dash cleaner (although it lacks the anti-static finish of PDC).

You can get more versatility out of Blitz than PDC. Although PDC can take out more stubborn stains than Blitz at full concentration. So it would be easier to remove scuff marks and really stubborn grimes/stain with PDC.

    Hope this helps.

I use Blitz,W99 and DPC and quite honestly every single product 1Z makes. If you have to only have one, I would say DPC for the win.But try all 3 they are great products for EVERYTHING

I recently used klasse AIO on my friends neglected smooth exterior plastic trim. There was a ton of stubborn dried out wax stains that had been baked on there for years, but I think the AIO did a good job. It sure left my towels dirty and left the surface looking new. I decided apply only dressing on another part of the trim just to compare how well the AIO did in a few weeks. Hopefully it did more than cover up as most dressings do.

I didn't want to try it on some of the textured plastic trim, but after reading this thread I'll hit it up with 1z dpc myself and see how it cleans too.
