Sealants: The following is a list of my favorite sealants (not necessarily in order.) 1. BlackFire Wet Diamond All Finish Paint Protection (This has become the new flavor and favorite.) 2. Meguiar's Synthetic Sealant 2.0 3. Duragloss #105 Total Performance Polish 4. Chemical Guys' Jetseal 109 5. Finish Kare's 1000P Hi-Temp Past Wax 6. Prima Epic 7. Klase Twins (If I use one, I always top it with the other.) I have more, but need to go through some cupboards and find them. I'll update as I do. I'd definitely like to hear and see what type of sealant the rest of you guys and gals are using. And please keep it cordial, no rude comments ( I know it won't happen, but thought I'd throw it out there any way.)
1. DG 105 One and done. I cannot thank J BELL enough for giving me this great product. If there is something else that beats this in ease of use, and durability, then I will look into it. I've been meaning to try the WerkStat stuff though.
Werkstat Acrylic Jett Trigger (stupid easy to use and great durability) DG 105 I haven't used a lot of sealants, and still have 3 other ones to try.
Jetseal, werkstatt acrylic jett trigger, and autobalm are some of my favorites right now. I just got some blackfire wet diamond from supercharged and can't wait to try it. It looks amazing on black cars from what I can see on here.
wg dgps 3.0 dg111 dg105 jw ajt I know I'll probably get flamed for this, but I'm not a huge fan of jet seal.
I do not have a lot of experience with sealants. I have only tried three, at this point. 1) Ultima Paint Guard Plus: this is the protectant that I am now using regularly on my wife's CR-V. Before the CR-V, I used it regularly on her Taurus. I like it very much. I love its ease of application--wipe on and forget about it. It only takes me 10-15 minutes to seal the CR-V, including cladding and trim. I have never tested its maximum durability. It's so easy to apply, I use it more frequently than I need to (usually every 6-8 weeks). 2) Mothers' Reflections: I have used this a couple of times on my black S2000. It's very easy to apply and remove and leaves behind a clear reflective shine, but not plasticky. It's an excellent value. 3) Meguiar's NXT: NXT gets beat up on a lot, but it has always worked well for me. I have used it on three different cars--white, black, and silver. The cars have always looked good. I have no complaints. At the moment I am only using it on my wheels. I have a new bottle of Blackfire Wet Diamond that I will be using next month sometime as the winter protectant for my Stewie. I'm looking forward to trying it out.
Chemical Guys Top Coat Sealant (very easy to apply, and smells great) Menzerna FMJ (looks very glossy, easy to apply) 4 star UPP (easiest one to apply, super slick feeling) FK1 2180 (my current favorite, very durable)
only use: DG 105 Optiseal jetseal (on the way, should receive end of sept from USPS, hopefully nothing happen)
you have been waiting very patiently for that CG order you placed. Hope all is well with that shipping.
