Ok, I am thinking about revamping my wash sessions. Need your guys help on how to perfect the process.

    Current:
    step 1) Arches and Tires
start with wheel wells- spray down wheel wells with Meg's APC 2:1
Tires- spray down tires with APC, scrub tires, scrub wheel wells, rinse off Wheel wells and tires, and at the end rinse off wheels.

    step 2) Wheels
Spray P21S Wheel cleaner on all 4 wheels, let soak into each wheel for 5 minutes...rinse wheel
wash each wheel with Adam's Car Wash and several boars hair brushes and Swissvax brush (inners washed via long reach brush)...rinse each wheel

*note, until now the paint has NOT been wetted so that water will not dry on the paint.

    step 3) Exhaust tips
clean exhaust tips with Adam's Car wash (from wheel solution), inner tips cleaned with P21S TAW steel wool

step4) Rinse! *note I never wash until the sun just has gone down as to not have direct sun spot up the water on the car.
Use Karcher 1800 psi PW to thoroughly rinse the entire car from top to bottom.

    step 5) Foam
use foam cannon to soak the car down with Meguiar's Hyper Wash..let dwell for 1-2 minutes

    step 6) re-rinse

step 7) Wash with Meguiar's Shampoo Plus or swissvax Car Bath
use a MF noodle mitt, and grit guards in buckets

    re-rinse

Dry: I use an electric Leaf blower to blow dry most water off, then pull car inside and wipe down each panel w/ a Uber WW aided by Adam's Detail Spray or Carnauba Glos Spray...

please give me some input as to what you'd change

I'm not satisfied with the durability of my waxes with this process...wondering If I'm doin something wrong. Not getting any marring, so that's a plus! But, I am getting water spots left over after rain which do NOT wash off or QD/wipe off either!

Thanks for help guys! Water spots are killing me!

what is your base you are using under your waxes?? are you layering your sealant and wax? with a garage I would assume it stays in it during the evenings?? your wash sounds great, but we need a little more info to help ya out, well atleast I do..

you can eliminate one rinse. There is no need to rinse before you foam it up (unless it's been driven through dust clouds)...just foam it up...let it dwell for 5-10 minutes, rinse it off...then wash...

I like to power wash it before I rinse so it gets all the really bad stuff off, then the foam can work more on the road grime. That's just my preference though.

I think everything with your process is good IMO, that's pretty much exactly how I do it. I think the reason you are getting spots from the rain has more to do with the conditions of where you live. You should invest in a Metro Air Force Master Blaster MB3CD. Then you can just quickly dry your car after you drive it through the rain.

do you have 2 different q's? for your wash process I spray wheels, tires and wheel wells at the same time 1 product in each hand go around the car once. rinse the car, wash the car, then do wheels and wheel wells, going around the car once. I forgot engine bay in between wheels and the wash, if its not a maintenence detail. then rinse it all dry it all. I typically do jambs with the interior.
