I often get asked what products I like to use for a particular applications, so I thought I would put together a list of ten of my favourite products.

My selection criteria is based upon-
    • It does what it says on the tin’?
    • Is it easy to use?
    • Latest and greatest innovations or tried and tested ‘go to’ products
    • Best in their product category

I ended up considering all of these facts, but most importantly the list is based upon what works for me. This is most important; there is no `one correct way' to apply a product; the way detailing products are customized are what each individual finds give them their desired results.

Using the same application methods and products of one individual may or may not give you the similar results; but it’s always best to adopt your own methodologies by experimentation with different products, after all that half the fun of detailing

Innovations and new car care products come to market all the time, which gives me a valid excuse to try and test new products and I sometimes find that my ‘best product’ criteria will change and something new will become a part of my detailing arsenal

So here’s my list, ranked in no particular order -

    1. Optimum Polymer Technologies ONR - This product lets you wash your car without buckets, hoses, brushes, conserving water while getting a shiny car and avoiding the risks of a caustic, waxed and silicone wash detergents The user simply sprays a light atomized covering of the eco-friendly, non-toxic water based formulation onto the vehicle panel, allowing wetting agents and nano particles to loosen and encapsulate road film and salts. A soft microfiber towel simply lifts the dirt while a second gently polishes the surface to a deep protected shine.
Waterless car washing is perfect for people who face water restrictions and hose pipe bans, or would like to clean their cars and preserve and protect our natural resources.

    2. Sonax Autopflege Wheel Cleaner full effect - used for the removal of sintered (heat fused) metal particulates; this product has the cleaning power of sulphuric acid but with a controlled pH by using a neutralised acid salt.

    3. Daytona Speed Master Wheel Brush - has a thicker, reinforced stem, but maintains its flexibility although the new stem is more rugged for frequent use on auto wheels. The bristles are slightly feathered on the ends to gently clean delicate wheel finishes, such as coated or plated wheels, without scratching.

    4. Leather Master’s - leather care is a subject surrounded with misinformation and myth? Unfortunately most of the information is marketing hype, and not given by experts but by people who set themselves up as such without doing any proper research and / or training. Today, Leather Master leads the industry with over 350 different leather products.
All Leather Master products are manufactured in Montecchio Maggiore, Italy. The world's largest tannery, located nearby, keeps them up to date on the latest changes within the industry. It has been my leather care product of choice for the last ten years or so. In summary, an aqueous emulsion is readily absorbed and provides lasting and effective lubrication without migration, while re-hydration leaves leather feeling silky soft and pliable. Consider the things you read by applying logic before making decisions about the products and methodologies you use

    5. The GritGuard® Universal Pad Washer - works with (Orbital, Rotary, Cyclo, and etc) a combination of agitation and detergent. The agitator wheels do all the work. You just hold the polisher. You’ll not only have clean pads, you’ll have clean hands. Once you’ve washed the pad, simply tilt the machine so the pad is out of the water. Continue running the polisher to remove the excess water. All the sling-off is contained within the bucket so there’s no mess.

Not only does the Grit Guard Universal Pad Washer wash pads, it dries them. Simply lift the pad out of the water and raise the speed setting slightly. Allow the pad to spin until the excess water has been removed. When you dry them, make sure you lay them face down, Velcro side up so that the water doesn’t seep into the Velcro.

    6. Menzerna Polishes- is the leading producer of high quality polishing materials with worldwide presence Building on over a century of application experience and technological innovation, their dedication to quality manufacturing and customer service has earned us the reputation for world-class polishing solutions. Menzerna PO S100 Power Gloss PO, 203S Power Finish at 1500 RPM along with a suitable Menzerna pad and PO 85 RD Final Finish will take care of 80% of your paint renovation projects

    7. Aquartz Iron Cut Paint Decontamination System - developed as a one-step method of removing paint contamination beyond what can be removed by washing or claying alone, if you are familiar with detailer’s clay, you know it is capable of removing above surface contaminants that have bonded to the paint. The Iron Cut is designed to remove what lies below the paint surface.

    8. Souverän Carnauba Paste Wax - (Dark colours and Red) provides a rippling gloss and sharp reflections. This wax compare extremely well with 'high-end waxes' (Zymöl, Swissax, etc) and is probably the best value per oz wax available today

    9. Grit Guard® Duel Wash Buckets - ironically, washing your vehicle can actually damage the paint finish because grit in the wash brush or mitt can leave scratches in the paint film surface, but with a Grit Guard ® in place at the bottom of the wash bucket, you simply nib the brush or wash mitt across the grid type surface to remove any damaging grit.

    10. The Flex XC 3401 VRG - (7.5 Amp electric motor) would be the best option prior to stepping-up to a rotary polisher (Rotary 101, if you will); this tool was made for paint correction (used by EU car manufacturers, much like the Cyclo is in the for US production line paint correction) it is far superior in its paint correction abilities than a Porter-Cable (PC) Ultimate Detailing Machine (UDM) however it will not make paint corrections as fast or as thoroughly as a rotary polisher.

That's my list (as of today anyway) What's yours?

With the exception of Leather Masters, just haven't settled on a line of leather care products, I agree with your list. I would add the Mark V UNO and Mystique to the line up.
