My New Toy!!!

I, after talking a lot with FMINUS and Nica decided to purchase myself a new toy and with the help of Phil at DetailersDomain this is what I got:



Many might be wondering why I would buy this when I have been promoting the Flex so much. Well I love my Flex and as much as I love it I have been becoming more and more concerned about what I would do if something happened to it. I know I could not go back to polishing with the PC. I had a couple of options, I could go on a waiting list for another Flex and just have a back up that I really wouldn't have a use for unless something happened to my original, or I could buy something else that is considered the pinnacle of detailing and polishing. After talking with FMINUS he convinced me that I couldn't go wrong with the Metabo. Some follow up PMs with Nica only confirmed that. By the way Thanks Guys for the help.

I figured I could begin using the Metabo at my leisure to get used to it and still have my Flex for any jobs that I want. And if anything ever happens to either of my extraordinary buffers I will have a tremendous back up! Well I called Phil and he hooked me up with the Metabo! Order was sent out on Monday and I had it today. Phil is tremendous to work with. As I was about to hang up with Phil I asked if he was going to carry any of the 3M bps according to the intrest he had gotten from his thread. He said he had a few in stock and if I wanted one he would sell it to me :headbang:. Of course I jumped on it! FMINUS told me I really needed one of these regardless of what I had to pay for it and I wouldn't regret it! Well thanks to Phil, Nica, and of course FMINUS I now have a wonderful tool in my arsenal. Props to everyone that helped me and FMINUS and Nica now know that they are in for the long haul as far as answering all my questions on the use of the Metabo :gidiup:!

Not sure but I was considering the Flex circular until I talked so much with FMINUS and Nica. By the way bro did you ever get your issues with the Flex worked out?

Lucky me... I had to send it off!!! Pisses me off!!! but oh well, such is life. I think this summer when the ball gets rolling, I might order the Flex circular, i'm selling my udm, but getting a pc for backup.. so i'll have 3 machines to play with

 

Very nice purchase Wolf, very nice indeed :applause: man your going to love the combo, the 3M backing plate and the Metabo are a wicked combo...oh and happy to help my friend, ask as many questions as you'd like...it will take a few hours to get the hang of the Metabo but notice I said hours :nod: yup, hours you'll see what I mean :thumb:

Oh man I can't wait to hear how the first trial with both the 3M backing plate and the Metabo go...your going to love it :thumb:...man I don't know who's more exited your or me lol.

Oh and I agree with you about having a back up plan, I always have a back up plan..um..now I got back up for the back up lol but you know what I mean lol.

Sorry about that Dust hope it is fixed quickly for you. I am pretty sure my PC is going up for sale very very shortly. I have yet to turn it on since I got my Flex and now with the Metabo there just is no room for it.

Nica I really can't wait and if I could have washed my car tonight when I got home I would have given it a whirl tonight!! I have details lined up for everyday I am off except tomorrow so it will get played with tomorrow I assure you. Thanks again for all your help and I already have a question for ya. In the last pic there is an extension piece I guess, do you use this or do you attach your bp like it is in the pic? I need to just buy you a plane ticket to NC and have you give me an in person tutorial!

I LOVE the Flex, but IMO the Flex is to the Metabo is like PC to the FLEX.

I've been debating on whether to get one of these for a while now. I currently have a PC, Cyclo, and Hitachi. I've also been very interested in the Flex.

I figured my workers could use the Flex or PC and I would stick with the Hitachi or Metabo. Decisions....Decisions!!

 

Dude it's suppose to be 68 degrees here in NC on Monday!!!!! I'm lucky and I don't have to wait til Summer! Heck I have 6 details already lined up for next week. Loving this mild Southern winter this year.

Nice purchase. There is a learning curve though. Im sure you'll love it once you get the hang of it!
