Well it's about time to replace my old buffer that I bought over 2 years ago for $35. from XS Cargo. It is still working but having "issues". I was all set to buy a Makita or Dynabrade. I checked locally and they had one that was a knock-off of a Makita. It has the same speeds and features. He had it listed for $120. and I got him down to $100. I couldn't pass it up for $100...especially with US $$ over Cdn again. Here's the pics:

wow great deal richy, well done.

Look forward on seeing you put it to good use :cheerl:

So any differences compared to the Makita? Usually there are some minor differences, just curious if you spotted any differences that's all.

Carlos..I just held the Makita in my hand so the only immediate difference is that it seemed a bit lighter, but not much.

Cooter..it's actually gonna be an XMas gift from my wife, so I won't get to use till after then.

    Thanks!

    Denzil...thank you.

    Thanks..I thought so too.

Hey nice pick up there richy. The only thing I've found I didn't like about my cheaper rotary (by Harbor Freight) is that its just not consistent at the speed settings. One time it may run faster at a speed setting than it did the last time I used the speed setting and that could just be minutes apart. Other than that it does a great job.

Sorry to hear about your experience. My cheap one has actually been great. The button to lock the spindle broke so the pin inside falls down and locks the spindle sometimes. I have tried Jerry-rigging it but not successfully yet.

I'm looking forward to taking it on a spin....hahahhahaha.
