I just moved into a new apartment and decided to buy all new storage for my gear. After two months of piecing everything together, here it is: You might be wondering what the black box on the left is. That's the first prototype of a new wax from Chemical Guys that I'm testing called 'Core'. It's meant to compete with the likes of Vintage and Divine and will be in a similar price range.
Very nice collection! do you detail out of the storage unit? This is the first I've seen of Core. I wanted to get my hands on some!
Nice collection, CG Core eh? How is it? I dont know if people are ready for a $1-2k CG product as they are always seen as the low cost alternative. Nice setup you have also...
Didn't expect comments so quickly, thanks guys! Thank you, and yes, I detail out of the car port you see in the pictures. I only detail my own car these days. If it's ok with Mr. Nica, I'd have no problem with that. It's a tremendous wax from what I've seen so far. I've only applied it to two cars: my Space Gray E92 M3 and a Jerez Black E90 M3. The depth it brought out on both shades was really fantastic, I need to take some pictures of it on my car soon. It takes more finessing than Pete's 53 to remove, so that's the only downside I've experienced thus far. The only other wax I've used that I can compare it to in terms of overall visual quality is a sample of Vintage I used several years ago.
As long as you upgrade your account for a month or a year (few bucks) to be able to sell stuff, you can sell anything...heck even your first born....ok maybe not that.
Very nice setup, with some great products and hardware!!! Love how it is nice and neat..... love it!!
So it goes through an RO filter, softener, and then CR spotless?? Insane!! I bet your resin lasts longer though, right?? When I go fixed location again.. may consider this
wow all that equipment just for personal detailing. I want to see what kind of cars this stuff is being put to use on. Very nice collection, probably my favourite collection posted. Love how organized you have it.
You got it right, the order of first filter to last filter goes by least expensive to most expensive to regenerate. The water softener can be recharged using a salt pellet solution and is extremely cheap to perform, while everyone knows CR Spotless has to either have the resins replaced or recharged w/ muratic acid and lye. You can see the containers of muratic acid and lye in the cabinet on the right.
