The brushes on the motor are already going out (I can hear the clicking from them) and I haven't even used the machine for four months.. anyeone else have premature failure?

Is it covered by warranty if anyone knows before I give Makita a call?

    Thanks!

Is it brand new? I bought mine off ebay over a year ago and its still going strong. Had to replace the cord due to wear but other than that its fine.

If it is new i would try take it in to be replaced hopefully under warranty.

I assume so. I should go check to see if there's a date stamp on the polisher, but I bought it from Phil on Oct.29th, and didn't use it until Mid-November

Let Phil know. I'm sure he would go good on it. I've had mine for probably 8 years now and I won't tell you what I've done to it but it still works perfectly.

New one will be here today! Sweet!! Can't wait to get it.. Phil was fantastic with the transaction. He didn't even have to receive mine before sending out a new one.. just a tracking number. Now THAT is wahat I call customer service! :thumb:

Hopefully Phil will get back to me with what happens with the machine. Using the metabo on the S4 I did this weekend was a bit odd.. haven't used it in MONTHS.
