I know I posted this some where but I couldn't find them here, well any who here are the pictures of my garage, from nothing but bare bone to it's current state and it's constantly being upgraded/upgraded but the way you see it on these pictures is the way it currently is.

    Now for the pictues:

These are pictures of all the cables being installed, a good friend of mine who's an electrician and has his own shop was kind enough to lend me some guys to do all the cable and hard ware installation :applause: to my friend.

Well as you can see lots of lights in the garage, at the moment there are a total of 30 T8's with according fixtures but soon this coming summer I'll be upgrading my lighting to T5's with the appropriate fixtures.

Well hope you guys enjoy :hippie: oh and I'm a big lighting nut as you can see, but only way to achive perfection is by having appropriate lighting to see the imperfections on the vehicle :chris: well at least I think so :2cents:

Ooh that's some cool ideas for the garage, I picked out a lift that I'd like to get but my current garage wont let me get the lift but hopefully next house will have some land for me to build a shop for my self and then I'll be able to get the lift and other toys I'd love to have in my garage/shop :thumb:

    For me I'm thinking a 10 car garage attached to a house:idea:

Yikes 10, that's huge but I'd be more then happy with 5 and then a shop about 30x30 and at least 10ft tall. At least that's the plan if we get a few acres

We got a spot picked out but it's just a spot for now, we haven't made a bid or anything like that just an idea for now...but ideas turn to reality, well at least that's my plan :hippie:

Yup, it's seperated :thumb: there are benefits with it being seperated and there are cons to it as well..but I'm happy with it for the time being :chest:

Yea I would have to agree with you about the more room, no ladders, steps or anything like that and yes I know what you mean about the distraction part lol...no wife calling me or anyone calling me for that matter, music cranked up so I don't hear anyone knoking at the door or cell phone hahahaha...just concentrating on the vehicle :thumb:

Fantastic set-up! Thanks for sharing the pictures with us! I like the lighting on the side walls. :applause:

I will have my daughter dump the Christmas pictures off the memory card and try to get a few pics of my shop in the near future.

IMO...detached workshops are the way to go!

Well to be honest I'm a big blue person, just love blue and I didnt want a dark blue for the garage and well went the baby blue. I like it I just need to do the floor to give it a better apperance and a few other things. I think blue is one of those colours that looks great with anything but that's just my :2cents:

GigaFlow I don't know how much shipping is but I'm sure it wont be cheap :acry2: :acry2:

How long did take.....well to be honest not that long, my friend who's an electrician and has his own shop sent a large truck with two guys and within matter of 3 to 4 hours they had the entire garage wired up. Then the next weekend I put the insulation and vapor barier inside the walls. The following weekend after that I got an old friend of the family who works in construction to come over and help me out putting up the dry wall...oh man I felt bad after we were done putting up dry wall. Okay this person is about 75years old and he wouldnt take my money and he's frigin tough, I mean we started to work at 7:00AM in the morning and did not stop not even to drink water or eat or bathroom brake nothing..and we finished putting up the drywall at around 6:00PM. Then when I got some money to pay him he just wouldn't take it I felt really bad...so my wife made a really nice dinner and I invited him back and he couldn't refuse that but I still feel as though I owe him. Well then my neighbor is a painter, I really tried to paint with the roler and man it would have taken me ages to finish painting the garage...after about 30min and not even had finished half a wall I went and knoked at mly neighbors door and asked him to do it for me  man you want to know how long it took him 30min...FOR TWO COATS!!!! He was trying to give me tips oh how to paint man my jaw droped to the floor just frigin incredable the speed he painted at :gasp: :gasp: But it's like anything, do it for x amount of years and you'll be good at it. The lighting I put up my self, a good friend of mine hooked me up with the fixtures and the lights them selves. Put it up the lights didn't take long about 4hrs or so.

So to be honest the garage didn't take that long at all about three or four weekends and she was done, I had it all done before summer just in time for the vehicles to start roling in for detailing :chest: But as you can see I had lots of help with it :thumb:

Yea the side wall was just something I wanted to try, it works really well bu next time I should lower it just a bit

I look forward to your pictures, sounds like you got quite the shop and yea I agree about havin a detached workshop, besides usually the wife is in there with me helping me out while I detail a vehicle...we are a tag team both in marage and in detailing
