Well I took my Mach 1 to get tinted last saturday and the morons that installed the tine not only did a shitty job they also scratched and marred up the quarter panels, c pillars, decklid, spoiler, doors, rear bumper, roof and fenders. So I decided to clean it up clay it and correct the damage that was done. I am going to go tomorrow and demand a full refund for the tinting so I can take it elsewhere to get it redone. I still need the hood, front bumper, seal the finish and dress the trim, as well as the interior and clean up the wheels.

Damn ... I'm pretty sure the tint installer inflicted those scratches with his belt. We had tons of quality issues at the assembly line where I used to work at and the scratches look really similar.

Great correction though!! Did you take pictures of the damage? How are you going to prove they screwed up the paint? ... just wondering. Anyways good luck and I hope you get all your money back.

    Thanks Brian:)

I bet thats what it was man and there jeans. The manager returned $100 to me of the $183I paid that day and he even admitted that my Mach wasnt like that prior to the installation and was his employees fault. But I am going to demand the rest back tomorrow.

I put in another 4 hours yesterday so 23 1/2 hours this far.

I finished the correction work (hood and front bumper) as well as cleaning the wheels, tires and exhaust tips. But I only put Chemical Guys V7 due to being tired. So I still need to apply two coats of Wolfs Chemicals Bodywrap this week and clean the interior as well as treat the door jambs, sills and trunk. I will try and get some better shots once its all done.

That's my fear taking my car to get tinted. Luckily I found a guy who "gets it". He even told me I could watch.

Sorry about the car. Great job correcting though.

What they did to your car was completely inexcusable! Get the rest of your money back or threaten to talk it up all over the neighborhoods nearby and BLAST them on Yelp. That is total BS what they did and how they handled it.

On the correction, very very good work bringing it back!

  19. How the hell did they mess up the body tiniting the windows? Car looks great by the way. Makes afraid to go get tinted windows on my stang. Same body style just a GT.

Cleaned the mach up today with some Optimum Instant Detailer and tried out the Dr. Colorchip kit I received yesterday. I have to say this kit is great I recommend it to any of you guys, you get plenty of touch up paint and the microbrushes are a perfect size for getting in the chips without causing these huge blobs. The blending solution works great and removed the excess paint with ease and little to no pressure with the supplied cloth without marring my finish.
