    It helps A LOT when I have the 35mm f/1.8, lol.
    Probably will get the 50mm f/1.4D later to see what the hype is all about.

    looks great. thinking of picking up 50 1.4 for car and video shoots, already have minolta 1.4 50mm but its manual focus with adaptor and would be nice to have autofocus

    Is there gonna be a huge difference between 50 1.4 and 50 1.8?
    They seem awfully similar to me......
    I think I'd rather have a used 20mm 2.8, 35mm 1.8, then 50mm 1.8, that way I can cover a good deal of focal distances without shelling out big bucks for 17-55 2.8

    dont know about difference. probably not much.
    50 1.8 is all plastic unless you get old verzion (yes even mounting ring is plastic)

    i have 17-50mm 2.8 sigma already
