The weather this past weekend was beyond gorgeous, so I decided to go up to take some shots of my Z with some new wheels, drop, and exhaust as it sits. So I gave it an ONR wash in the parking lot and drove up into the graduate campus. This is something of a long term update of how Cquartz is holding up; I coated the car completely 7 months ago and have maintained it simply through ONR washes followed by whatever QD or spray sealant I felt like using. I will resume using Reload as I ordered some from Phil, it is still the only spray sealant I have used that I would feel confident using as a standalone LSP. I did not heavily process these so they aren't really crazy, but I hope you enjoy them! Products+Process: -1 layer (2 in some places) of Cquartz applied 7 months ago -ONR (new formula) wash -CG V7 -Polished exhaust tips with XMT360 -Wheels given a coat of my new Power Lock (love this stuff so far!) -Optibond on the tires -Opticlean used on the exhaust cans Up on the parking deck: Gotta keep it real reppin' the370z.com! Some Malibu money shots: View of main campus: My personal favorite: Thanks for looking, I hope to get back into the swing of detailing as I was honestly a bit burned out to keep up my enthusiasm for it other than taking care of my car and two of my parents.
Great pictures wish I had picture taking skills. I have a 370 booked this Saturday same color and wheels.
Muchos gracias guys! Are you planning on polishing it? If so, Platinum Graphite has sticky paint syndrome but I have found Meguiars 105/205 with a DA works well. It absolutely hates the Menzerna range though on any polishing or pad. Thank you Overtime! I love what I did to my car too haha, thanks for the nice comment. Hey Ken, we are right on the pacific so it can't get much better than this. The only problem is that once I finish school, I will be downgrading wherever I go! Thanks Pat, I love your Z32 as well! Have you done anything new to it recently? Thanks Brian, I definitely agree with you. The only thing I wish we had is the huge aftermarket of the 350z! Thanks Kilo! Yes sir, I transferred here when my family moved to California and am about to complete my third semester. I really love it here. We are in Malibu, it is absolutely gorgeous if not a bit boring since all the noise ordinances and a lack of things to do off campus but I am definitely thankful to be here!
Very nice pictures. That 370z is looking dangerous. I wish my campus looked that amazing. I get to see snow for the majority of my terms. Sweet...
Looks absolutely beautiful bro! Your car as Ive said before is one of my favorites here. You have great photography skills as well. And if you dont mind I think the last pic has bumped my Jeep and yours will be my new desktop pic. Thank you Christian and best wishes for your education, gotta be tough studying in that surrounding!
I'm thinking you shot these on Sunday as it was cold and threatening rain off and on Saturday in the Pepperdine area. I was there for the BB game. Very NICE shots and good location choice
damn! Nice car. Looks damn good. So does it get driven much? Only reason i ask is because the exhaust canisters are blinding so what's your secret?
Haha, that is what I used to see at my last school too. It makes you appreciate this weather so much more! Thanks Hamza, I try my best so hopefully I can continue to improve my photography! That's very cool, I'm flattered. It can be tough but I have never had too much of a problem getting my work done thankfully! Thank you Danny! Yes sir, you might have seen me in that upper row of parking spots cleaning the car up just before the game. I always wash it once a week with ONR, I get some weird looks from people driving by! Haha, thanks man. I hit them with QD every time I wash it or once a week at home, the key is that I try to never let them get too dirty. :thumb:
