Euro Treffen, car show this weekend so thought I would give the car a detail.

Pre-washed with w99/apc mixture in my foam gun (soon to upgraded to MTM)
    2 buckets meguairs soap
    Leaf blower dry
Detail spray w/ waffle weave to get the rest of the car dry.

Jacked the car up to remove the wheels
Washed wheels with Sonax and APC.
Removed what looked to a sticker w/ 3M adhesive remover
Polished with Uber Green pad and meguairs polish (wheels not really that bad) using PC
Sealed wheels with Auto Finesse Mint Wheel wax, let cure for a few hours.

Paint was pretty decent condition, not major swirls could be found, some light ones.
Hit the car with a pass of Meguiars DA Microfiber Correction Compound.
    Full IPA wipe down

Under flood lights I got the rear Trim + Window trim with AF Revive (still amazing lol)

Got dark on me :( so the rest is tomorrow which will include
Re-wash to get any dust debris off the car
    Full ISP wipe down again
    Wolfs Body Wrap

Total time so far - 9 hours

Not to dirty before, I try to keep it washed at least once a week

(sorry for none rotated images ill fix that later)
Wheels are back on, but it got dark so no pictures...

This is how it sits now... paint seems to be pretty smooth im happy with the results so nothing more aggressive will be needed.

    That GTI looks great!!

Is there a reason why you used D151? I was under the impression that BW would smear if the surface wasn't completely clean. I would think that an AIO would affect the BW application.

I hope you used wheel chocks ... lmao.

Yeah, I am surprised you used D151 even if you did do an IPA, D151 is a great product but has more filling properties then corrective properties, but will leave a decent finish. Of course I have never done an IPA wipe down after using D151 so I do not know what kind of surface it leaves. Looks good, though........

oops totally missed that... wasnt D151.... was the Meguiars DA Microfiber Correction Compound (same color lol)...

I didnt want to go to agressive with like a m105 so i figured that would be a good inbetween

also before i do BW i plan on re-washing and another round of IPA wipe downs to make sure all the oils are off the car

I did use chocks, i forgot them at first (the pictures of the rear) but they were used... cant see them in the other pictures.... also the car was in gear w/ Ebrake on

LOL.... makes me laugh, I had to write in red writing on my D151, because it looks identical to d300.

Car really looks sharp, I love how the detroits are black in the barrels!

yeah, I was going to do wheels but I really like the Huffs that I have on it, did you buy a spacer kit? or did you buy it all seperatley.any vibrations?

I got the spacers from Avenue autosports...you might have heard of them.. they are a local to me so i went there to get some

they make their own spacers in house... so no point in paying a more for HR or Forge spacers

ride is perfect... no vibrations or rattles or anything

thanks for the link, ill be ordering some spacers for sure, the ECS kits are way to expensive.

Do you know if i need a conical or ball seat for the OEM wheels? I am assuming ball seat

A damn fine looking GTI. I am in Seattle today on business and heard an R32 rolling by with some custom exhaust. Sounded like the boy had 1,000 hp under the bonnet. Mean!

You're a brave man for jacking up your car on such a sloped drive and then taking off the rear wheels.
