How do you guys clean the back of multispoke wheels like this? I am having difficulty cleaning the spokes on these wheels since the spokes are quite close leaving little room to manuever cleaning tools in the tiny gaps. I was thinking of getting a Mini EZ Detail brush to compliment my Raceglaze wheel brush for these jobs. Any thoughts or suggestions?

Also these particular 335d 17 inch wheels are a PITA to clean the wheel barrel. The wheel contours around the front calipers and the gap is impossible to fit anything in between the calipers and the wheels. Even the almighty Raceglaze wheel brush couldn't fit in. Had to rock the car back and forth to clean those areas.

Also for those who apply LSP on wheels, do you only apply to the wheel face of the wheel barrel as well? How does one apply it to wheel barrels of multispoke wheels without removing them?

removing wheels is the only option I see. I hate wheels like that, suck a pain in a butt, so time consuming...and UGLY looking...

I have the mini ez brush and the raceglace xl, somehow I like the mini ez brush better because it is easier to maneuver and can be shaped differently. If you brush too hard with the ez brush, you are going to get a lot of dirt and brake dust on your face.

Another reason I want the EZ brush is for engine bays and wheel wells on lowered cars.

Should I get the Regular or the Mini 1?

The mini can do everything the big one can do but not vice versa. I have a brush for cleaning baby bottles that I have bent 90 degrees to handle spokes like that.

So you're recommending the Mini then.

I have a hoist for cars like this. Up it goes and you can do underneath, the side skirts and backs of wheels easy. Best tool i ever bought for my shops.

For wheel like that, I would use the XL to get most of it out and then use a mitt to get the stuff directly behind the spokes. You will have to roll the car ahead to get around the calipers. I would do all four wheels as best you can, then roll the car ahead and finish them off so you are not in and out of the car. If you want to wax the barrels, you'll have to remove them.

^ exactly what he said only I personally use a brush similar to the RG one but a bit thinner and straight then I like to use a strip of grout sponge "flossing" the spokes then using a different shaped piece to get behind the spoke itself. You will need to use your fingers with a mitt or sponge to get any recessed sections on the back of the spokes - brake dust loves to build up in the recesses. So make sure even if your wheel cleaner is pH safe that youre using gloves, otherwise you'll need to clay and detail your finger nails after..

i have 16spoke wheels on my A4 and i use my hand to get the back of the spoke and an EZ Detail brush for the barrel of the wheel. it gets the job done.

can i get every little tiny black tar speck?
    NO
but my wheels are dark gray so it bothers me a little less.

an easy way is to use an acid as it looks like factory clear coat. I am not a fan of using acids but they do have their uses. Just make sure to rinse them thoroughly afterwards. The other option is to use a gentler cleaner and use a raceglaze xl or mini detail brush along with a micro fiber for the back of the spokes. And be sure to move the wheels 180degrees like Ken say to get behind the calipers.

I suggest you to get both the ez mini and ez brush, you wouldn't want to just use one brush for rims, wheel well, engine bay and exhaust. or use an old microfiber cloth
