What do you all think about it? I have a gallon of it, trying to decide if I should continue using it or get something none OTC.

I think it smells good. Like cinnamon. What are you using it for? Clay lube?

I don't have any issues with it, i prefer megs Ultimate, but I have used mothers and actually like it.

I use it for clay lube and sometimes on customers vehicles before delivery, On my personal vehicles I used it as a drying aid for my exhaust, wheels, jambs. Jim sent me two gallons of it, its a good quick detailer to have around in case of an emergency like bird bombs.

You can get it at autogeek, I got the two of my gallons from Jim at Mothers to use on my details. Its a good quick detailer but I when I reload on it I'll get it in the 16 to 24 oz bottles because by the gallon its too much. I much rather get CG V7 or DG AW for that price. I would however get their Spraywax at that price its way better than their Showtime detailer but they dont sell it by the gallon.

I am mostly using it for cleaning the car down either after a wash or at a car show. I noticed some swirls in the paint after using it at the last show, so I am trying to track down the issue. So far I have replaced my MFs with some new ones, and gotten a waterless wash to use as a QD at shows. Just wondering if I should contiune using it as the main QD or try something else. I doubt its my cause of swirls tho, right?

yeah, that is pricey considering what else is out there. I'm really happy with Pro detailer...........I have CG synthetic, but the Pro just looks better.

I started using 5:1 ONR for waterless washing and wipe downs, I spray the panel liberally then remove with a Peak drying towel that I have cut into smaller towels, works awesome.......

ONR is not a waterless wash and that's why Optimum came out with Opti Clean as their waterless wash. I do however perfer Ultima Waterless Wash Plus.

I think I will continue to use it until my gallon runs out. I doubt that it is the cause of my swirls that showed up shortly after a detail... My main concern was that the Mother's QD was not lubricated enough.

I bought some Waterless Wash from CG to use only at Car Shows for that initial wipe down. My routine for a car show is to go by a touchless car wash to spray the car down with some soap followed by a rinse. Then, once at the car show, use the Waterless Wash like a QD. I figured a Waterless Wash would be better at reducing swirls in this situation than a QD Spray like Mother's.

I am really confused with your comment that it isn't a waterless wash. What is ONR then? What justifies a waterless wash in your opinion??

i think what he means is that you cant just spray ONR on the panel and wipe with a microfiber. you still need to fill a wash bucket with water. Opti clean is supposedly a product you can just spray onto a panel and wipe off the dirt. And i have no idea about the Ultima product as I have never tried anything from them.

Mothers FX Spray Wax is pretty good. It costs a little more than Showtime but has durability and almost as easy to apply.

It works.......... its not harming anything and what is the difference? Does not rinsing it down cause an issue? Just asking because I don't have an issue with using at in that context.

What makes Opt-clean different/ better then the method I'm using? Just curious because I do not see a issue with using ONR in this method.

If its wrong then Obviously I need to change my ways, and I do not want to be out giving bad information but I don't see an issue with this. ONR= no rinse, so im thinking it does not need to be rinsed right?

anyway, I like to stay educated and know the correct methods and use of products, so if again this is wrong let me know.

    I got this off ADS:

"Optimum Opti-Clean is based on the same natural polymers used in Optimum No Rinse and is safe for use on all automotive surfaces as well as being safe for the consumer and the environment."

so is there something different in Opti_clean that makes it stand out?
