My family was headed to the beach this week but i stay behind because i like having the house to myself. Anyways i havent done any paint correction to this car in 2 years and the car is a typical daily driver covered in scratches and small dents so rather then going for a full out correction i tackled the car with Megs 205 w/ a orange LC pad and topped it with 845 via PC w/ LC red pad. So lets get on with the pictures. The car was dirty. Chemicals: CG Citrus Wash and Clear Stoners invisiable Glass (aerosol) Sonax Wheel Cleaner Meguiars 205 Megs General Purpose Cleaner Colinite 845 Tools: 2 buckets with grit gaurds Sponge Chamois(there broken in and absorbe so much water. I do rinse them thoroughly after every use) Flex XC VRG Dual Action 6.5" Orange LC foam pads Assorted mircrofibers I started with the wheels and go to use my favorite wheel cleaner (sonax wheel cleaner). I sprayed it on and let it dwell untill the green solution turned green(my favorite thing about it). Next i soaked the car in a nice layer of Foam via Glimour Foammaster foam gun. I used CG Citrus wash and Clear. i filled the canister up about 1/6 of the way with soap so it allowed for a HUGE amount of foam. Then i washed the car (2 bucket method w/ grit gaurds) again using CG Citrus wash and clear Then i pulled the car in the garage and went to town on the paint with Megs 205 and a orange LC pad via Flex 3401 VRG D/A. I didnt take that many progess pics because i was sweating my butt off and it was my only day off that week (The previous Sunday). So heres the after pics after 845 was applied via PC w/ LC Red pad. As far as correction id have to say the paint was 50-60% corrected but the paint does have great depth now. I also applied wheel wax to all the wheels. Only product i have experienced thus far is my DP wheel Glaze which i really like alot. Now time for the sun pictures. This is when i like black the most.
Thank you! its not bad for a daily driven Impala that gets run through a car wash (non brushless) every week...ugh o well
