mircrofiber loses softness

    right after i washed my microfiber towels (brand new) they dont seem to be as soft. any ideas why or how to change that?

    Did you wah them in hot water, and what type of detergent did you use.

    no cold water and i woolite

    They should be washed in hot water. I could not say if the woolite is the cause or not, never used it, always have used a microfiber detergent. Mine have always come out soft doing it this way.

    you could have hard water...that will make a towel feel hard....or you mat meed to do 2 rinses ...I use just Tide or Wisk free and they come out real soft..I do a double rinse also...and I hang dry them since they use fabric sheets in the dryer and it does build up on the dryer drum ..so I do not want towels contaminated ..

    just wash in hot water and either use Vinegar in the rinse or do a double rinse....and if your water is real hard ..well nothing to do there...or get a water softner

    I thought about the fabric sheets residue being left in the drum and filter. I wonder how much this really affects the towels? I may have to buy another dryer :(

    F-, get some blue ballz for your dryer. Hell, everybody should have blue ballz :giggle:

    nope some of the best water in the country where i am, detroit river, i guess ill just buy some microfiber detergent and try that out
