This car had a whopping 300km on it when the customer bought it. He brought it to me to detail it for him but really had no idea what kind of magic I could do for him since it was such a low mileage car. The paint was in really good shape, which made it great for me to take it to another level entirely. I know I keep saying this, but I was very proud of this job and the owner was blown away. He showed up as I was snapping the pics, so I didn`t get as many as I`d liked. All in only 8 hours, which is fast for me!

    The Process:

    Wheels/Barrels/Wells/Tires:
Barrels cleaned with DG wheel cleaner using EZ brush
Wheels and calipers cleaned with DG wheel cleaner and various brushes including paint brushes (like how soft they are)
Wells and Tires cleaned with Kleenol (10:1)
Wheels subsequently polished/protected with DG 501
    Tires treated with DP gel
    Wells treated with Adams U.S.

    Paint:
    Clay with Clay Magic blue
Areas requiring compounding (both rear quarters, passenger door, front clip) got X3 by hand in some cases, purple foamed wool in others via rotary
Polished (jeweled) using Menz 85rd with blue pad on a rotary using pyramid method
Wetness added using Danase wet glaze with blue pad and UDM
DG 601/105 applied & removed by hand

    Exterior:
    Exhaust tips with Blue Magic
    Plastic trim with 303
    Glass with IG

    Interior:
Mats removed and vacummed, power washed, cleaned with Kleenol, power washed, sprayed with vinegar, power washed, vacuumed
    Carpeting vacuumed and steam cleaned
Plastic surfaces cleaned and treated with 303
    Leather treated with 303

    Duratys Welcome to Detailing

Surprised it was that dirty for only having 300km on it. Its a wonder why people would try to not drive a car and then keep it so dirty :crasy:

    Looks awesome now though :thumb:

    Thanks.

    Thanks Yukon!

I meant to ask him the story behind that. The car was mint. As far as fall goes, ya, it's here all right.:shakehead: A week ago there were just green leaves and then they changed like that in just a week. We didn't even get any cold nigthts? Mother Nature knows her schedule.

    RamSus..thanks very much.

Buddy..It was a joy to work on it. Reminded me of a 1971 that I had in high school. There's a reason they still sell well..they are still an amazing car.

DG..(I'm diggin your screen name, BTW)..Thanks for the compliment!:mounty:
    P1et...thanks on both accounts!

The best part of it all is that the car is such a great condition despite being so high in mileage. Those reflex shots are lovely! Great job, Richy!
