Good day, This Mercedes was an absolute pleasure to work on. The customer bought it two years ago and tastefully added the wheels, black grill and rear spoiler. The paint was tired, dull and had hard water deposits combined with many fine scratches. Initially, only a wash n' wax was requested but we decided that at least a one-step polish would make a big difference. And it did! I arrived at about 7:15am and my interior specialist Holden arrived a litte later. PAINT -------- 1) Wash with CG Citrus Wash n' Gloss w/ ShMITT 2) Dry with Guzzler and CG Blue Waffle Weave 3) PO85RD on white LC CCS pad w/ Flex on 5 (2x on hood and boot) 4) CG EZ Creme Glaze via PC on gray LC CCS pad 5) CG Jetseal 109 6) Lusso Oro WHEELS ---------- 1) Meguiars Hot Rim Multi-Piece 2) P21S Sponge 3) Swissvax Wheel Brush 4) Sealed with Jetseal 5) Natural Look 2x on tires INTERIOR ------------ 1) 1Z Cockpit Premium 2) CG Total Interior Cleaner 3) Zymol Leather Cleaner 4) Duragloss Leather Conditioner 5) Detailers Domain Boar's Head Brush Before: --------- Tried to capture the swirls, you can see the paint wasn't looking great... Holden busy on the interior! One said done, looking promising! Holden busy cleaning up the engine compartment... Halway: --------- This is after EZ Creme and Jetseal! After (now topped with Lusso Oro): ----------------------------------------- Favorite towel, favorite wax... Hope you enjoyed!!!
Not sure if it is just my computer or not, but pictures 3-9 are not showing up. But from the afters I can see, it looks Stunning! Edit: ok now they are showing up, Great Job!
Just look at that mirror!! I love it Looked superb after EZ and Jetseal, but even better after lusso oro! Gave it some extra glow and wetness. For that price Lusso oro is number 1. Love the work mate And the car is looking nice to. Some amazing reflection pictures!!
Man you have the EZ Creme, Jetseal, and Oro looking freakin' PHENOMENAL!!!!! Mate that is an incredible looking black once you finished with it! The reflection shots are perfect and shows just how wet this paint is. Do you do anything that's not black? Again mate when I saw the befores I was like looks pretty good not sure it can look much better and then when I saw the afters I was :yikes:!
Stunning! How do you apply your Oro? I like seeing nice details like this that use all stuff that I have in my inventory. It really helps to inspire me!
Thanks boys!!! Much appreciated! I really wish I could have captured the sad state of the paint before, but none of the pics of that came out, ARGH!!! And yes, it all seems to be black these days. Which is fine as I LOVE working with black paint!!!
That is great looking Black..i mean super...you did a Fantastic Job...evry thing is flawless.. Now..the more I see the Lusso used the more I want to try it..its the one wax that has a look that appeals to me...it has very good optics to it...and this car shows it...and peaked my intrest even more... Great Job Al
Nicw work piet I am sure the customer was very pleased! Tell me what you think of the Megs wheel cleaner and how it compares to other products you have used. If it is good I will get some tomorrow.. what do you think? You know what they say "once you go black, you never go back":headbang:
OMG I can see why it was absolute pleasure....That is one beautiful vehicle. You have done her right....sweet job! Thanks for sharing....
man what a sweet benz...very wet beautiful relfections..i agree with AL ..the lusso looks bad a ss...nice work
Oooh very nice Merc :worship: and you guys made it look great...um..question, how hard was the clear coat on this vehicle? Just curious that's all. Black is so rewarding when detailed properly :applause2: :applause: thank you for sharing with us.
whoa piet, another nice one! I thought that guy was you for a second. I was like "dang when the hell did Piet turn so grizzly?" LOL
Get some Al, you will NOT regret it. Especially at the price Phil at DD is selling it for. Like I've mentioned before, I have two pots of Souveran but I'm afraid to crack 'em open because I might be disappointed. Testing durability on my wife's Explorer now, will report back... I was afraid. VERY AFRAID! But the good thing was that since it was a 2002, I don't think it had any of the ceramiclear paint. GOOD! I had my SIP with me just in case PO85RD wasn't going to put a dent in it. White 6.5" LC CCS pad wit the Flex on 5 with some nice, slow SLOW SLOOOOOOOW long passes made it come out great. I had to work it a bit longer than usual and do double passes, but the paint was 85% defect free when I was done with it. I picked that Meguiars wheel cleaner at Big Lots for $3.50 and I think it was worth it. But the bad thing was that I had to use so much of it: I went through half of a bottle for all four wheels! The clear coat wasn't hard at all! I wasn't soft either, but I don't think it was a ceramiclear paintjob, phew!!! I looked like that about 2 weeks ago. I didn't cut my hair for three months. My wife finally told me I HAD to get it cut, so I did. But Holden doesn't cut his hair very often. Or shaves his beard. GOOD MAN THOUGH, and knows his SHITE when it comes down to interiors!!!
