Anyone out there using Migliore wheel seal? How do you like it? I wanna hear about it before trying it...
I use FK 1000p or DG 501 for wheels. I want to try Migliore products but I read to many mixed reviews on their products it steers me away.
I have it...the wheel seal is ok in my opinion. Smells like citronella and goes on easily. Durability here in Hawai'i leaves much to be desired with all the humidity and tropical climate. The only wheel waxes i've used so far is that and SV autobahn. Application goes on much easier than autobahn in the fact that you don't have to apply cleaner fluid before wax. For some reason though I have noticed that it stays on longer on painted parts of the wheel rather then say the chrome. I have a black face painted wheel with a chrome lip and the chrome loses the protection after two weeks and two washes, but the black painted spokes on my rims still have some protection for another week or so. I'm going to assume that maybe the pores in the paint helped keep the wax on longer than the surface of the chrome especially in the sun which probably melted it away as my truck sits out in the open a majority of the day. Not sure if it's true or not but that's just my guess:shead:
For wheels, I've recently started using Optiseal. My go to before was DG501/105 combo. Before that it was PB Wheel Sealant. I still touch up my wheels with Duragloss Aquawax.
best wheel shine i was getting on my old oem 19s was Z-AIO + 3x Z5Pro + Wheelwax re migliore, i just had delivered my prima, qd and liquid wax. i decided not to bother with the wheel wax, because most wheel specific products ive used - cg wheel guard, sv autobahn, poorboys wheel sealant etc, just dont work. Wheelwax on the other hand has reduced brake dust slightly, it was my first and still my go to wheel product as a test, i put 476s on my wheels and it beaded for about 3 weeks/3 washes, and that's a super tough wax and we dont have snow or salted roads here in Aus. So i dont believe in these wheel products if you want protection, just use a regular paint sealant
I have used PB's Wheel Seal, Collinite 476/845, and tried all my regular paint sealants and nothing has come close to Planet Polish Wheel Seal and Shine. I never thought it would add a visible enhancement to the wheels so when it did, I was very surprised as it left the glossiest finish I have ever seen on my wheels. It lasts a good 3-4 months as well with one layer and little prep.
I used it a few times, and quite like it. Application is a bit harder then Poorboy's wheel sealant, but you use less, and it lasts longer on wheels. And it smells like RBOE - orange oil.
