I am running out of MicroRestore and have heard that Tide Free & Gentle works to clean microfibers what do you guys think, and are any of you using this on quality microfibers? If you are have you noticed a difference in the way your microfibers work / absorb? I want to give it a try since its available locally but if its going to affect the way my microfibers work no way am I going to get it I rather stick with MicroRestore. Let me know what you guys are using.

I use Tide Free & Gentle, works great! As far as I remember (read it on some other forum) it's actually better than the MicroRestore.

Any idea what forum that was on, or do you have a link? I would be interested to read that.

Danny- I tried an Arm/Hammer detergent that did not have dies, fragrances or fabric softeners, and didn't think it did that well compared to MicroRestore. The level of cleanliness and softness of the towels was better with MR. I post this because I think it was a similar product to the Tide you mention.

Used a few of the next day, the drying towels still absorbed like before, the polish/wax towels removed both with no problems

GAIN! works good for me and my clothes haha.

Ya, CG MF Wash is great stuff. I usually use it each time. But regular laundry detergent does work good as well.

I've never used microrestore but I do like cg microfiber wash for small hand wash loads. It rinses out much easier than my only other dp microfiber wash.

Good to know regular laundry detergent works. Tide will be my go to product lol.

The best system that I've used so far is tide basic with some zep citrus degreaser, followed by a second rinse cycle with white vinegar, and then dried in the dryer on low-no heat with the dryer balls from bed bath and beyond. Towels come out like new every time

I've been using Costco brand hypoallergenic soap for a couple years now.... Scent/dye/perfume free. I use a splash of apc for heavily soiled towels and also use white vinegar with rinse cycle. I have zero problems with my towels

Haven't tried either, but recently made a trip to Wal-mart and bought a new one called Purex Complete with Zout. The free and clear version with no scents or perfumes. I'll have to see how it does when I get enough for a load.

I would give it a try but I am not a costco member and dont want to pay a yearly fee just to buy detergent haha.
