Hey guys, just wondering if anyone knows if MicroRestore is safe to use in a high efficiency front loader. Thanks!
Thanks Heath! Just didn't want to wreck my new washer I didn't know that the front loader HE washers take a different type of detergent for washing regular clothes too.
Lucky Pete with his brand new washing machine... The only thing I ahve heard about the new HE's is that some peoples clothes smell...
he washer + microrestore: 1 dirty shag rags : 0 first load just came out of the wash. i used shag rags for an onr wash (worked great btw). towels came out completely clean. they're in the dryer now. so far, 4 loads of wash, no smell
HE washer smell comes from mildew on the rubber gasket that seals around the front door. Leave the door slightly open after each washing so it has a chance to dry out. You can also run a cleaning tablet once a month. I think they're called "Affresh". Microrestore works great in my HE washer. Remember - no softener or dryer sheets EVER with MF.
thanks for the tip about leaving the door open! i just went to check, and you're absolutely right. i did have residual water there. i dried it up with a paper towel, but will still leave the door open for good measure. :thumb:
i use it in front loading WM and no complains from my mom yet lol. why would it matter front or top. i think front will wash better.
