Hey guys, just wondering if anyone knows if MicroRestore is safe to use in a high efficiency front loader.

    Thanks!

I use it in a front loader Pete. No complaints on my towels.

Thanks Heath! Just didn't want to wreck my new washer :D

I didn't know that the front loader HE washers take a different type of detergent for washing regular clothes too.

    he washer + microrestore: 1
    dirty shag rags : 0

first load just came out of the wash. i used shag rags for an onr wash (worked great btw). towels came out completely clean.

    they're in the dryer now.

so far, 4 loads of wash, no smell :D

HE washer smell comes from mildew on the rubber gasket that seals around the front door. Leave the door slightly open after each washing so it has a chance to dry out. You can also run a cleaning tablet once a month. I think they're called "Affresh".

Microrestore works great in my HE washer. Remember - no softener or dryer sheets EVER with MF.

thanks for the tip about leaving the door open! i just went to check, and you're absolutely right. i did have residual water there. i dried it up with a paper towel, but will still leave the door open for good measure. :thumb:
