Amazon.com: Metro Vacuum SK-1 Air Force Blaster Sidekick Compact & Portable Motorcycle Dryer: Home Improvement Does anyone use this? I tried searching but didn't see any results, I first saw this at Adam's Polishes but Amazon has it cheaper. Does it have enough power to mostly dry a whole car, or is it only good for the crevices? I'm not real fond of dragging a towel over my car to dry it.
It is great on crevices and badges. I use a leaf blower to blow most of the water off and then follow up with a towel, I couldn't see using such a small unit for the whole car though. Sent from my HTC Vision using Tapatalk
Crap, my leaf blower is too much of a pain to drag out every time I wash a car, don't they make anything smaller and electric that can blow the majority of the water off? I don't mind some light towel usage, but drying an entire car that way takes too much time.
So is mine, but that's why I find it a pain, it's old and crappy. Maybe I'll get one anyway, one of the huge issues I have is with water in the headlights and mirrors, so at least it would work for that.
If I washed in front of my garage I would get an electric leaf blower but I have to wash in my front yard bc I live on an alley and hate having to drive a car through a muddy alley when I'm done. Sent from my HTC Vision using Tapatalk
Maybe I'll look into a small electric blower then, depending on their price. Just a cheapy like this: Homelite 220 mph 300 CFM Electric Blower/Vac - UT42120 at The Home Depot
what about a 10 gallon air compressor? that is what I use if i need compressed air for the inside of the car, (exterior too) but I have a 30.00 craftsman leaf blower and works great for blasting the outside..... i get wierd looks from the neighbors, but oh well!
I have and use it for To dry my cars with the combo of a Waffle weave drying towel . As After the sheeting method there isn't a lot of water on there anyway. Good unit.
I have the master blaster. It will dry something completely even crevices. If you get the 8HP model, it works in two modes: 4HP, 8HP. It is not cheap though. it doesn not take that long to get it out (or just have it ready) and then dry. I have to move the car so you do not drag the cords through water.
I just got to try it out this past weekend on a detail and fell in love with it. It works very well for its size and does what i need it to do ( Blowout grills, crevices, jambs, badges and aid in drying the car) Its on amazon for about 80. I think its a best alternative to using an air compressor (too noisy for me).
leaf blower/Adam's great white towel & detail spray for me. electric leaf blower is a craftsman for $58 I thought about metro 2 things over priced and their customer service never returned my e-mail.
Looks way to under powered to do the whole car.. I would prob. use it for the door jambs and other little crevices... having said that .. i have the larger unit and it is fantastic... i can dry a whole car in less than 20 min's ..
Cant say the same about the service..... i had a customer service issue with the long hose breaking on me. I called Metro and someone got back to me within a few hours and i had a new hose , no questions asked , 1 day shipping .... i would say that it is awesome service....
