Today seen me carrying out a winter protection valet with interior clean/condition on a E350 cdi mercedes, and what a lovely thing it was. Here is the vehicle at first glance upon arrival. As you can see, it was very grimey from what bad weather we have had just recently so at this point I thought it better to get on with the wash stage, sorry no pics but this was done as follows: Pre rinse whole vehicle thoroughly. Megs apc sprayed using foamer trigger on to wing mirrors, lower section, wheels, tyres, arches and door shuts. Re-rinsed thoroughly then snowfoamed with a cocktail of duragloss apc and duragloss car wash concentrate, this is a heavy cleaner cocktail tbh which foams very well and cleans very well also as you can see. All knooks, crannies and badges agitated with brush. Washed from top to bottom with duragloss 901 and megs lambswool mitt via 2 bucket method, misted with AS tango then rinsed thoroughly once again. At this point the wheels were almost clean but still needed a little kick so VP bilberry via foamer sprayer then agitated with ez detail brush and soft swissol style brush, rinsed then taken into the unit and dryed with cobra xl miracle dryer towel. After a bought of tar remover the clay process was barely necessary, this was the worst of it. clayed with VP citrus bling as qd and yellow poly clay. Few measurements of the paint said it was safe to go with a small stint with the polisher, this was ranging between 91 – 101 microns. I hit the paint with a medium polish ssr2 on a new polishing pad I’m trialling atm which gave nice results. I opted for a combo ive used in the past that gives a good look and durability, carbrite weathersheild topped with poorboys blue nattys paste wax. Bit of a reflection, quite deep I thought. Wheels sealed externally with smart rimwax, internally with supagard spray wheel seal. Tyres and arches treated to carbrite reflect vynil and rubber dressing. Glass cleaned with valetex spray glass cleaner and topped with rainx. The finished exterior. Other than a few random dog hairs and general bitiness on the carpet the interior wasn’t all that bad until i came to the leather.......... :yak: yuk, not filthy just very grimey. And a close up. 50/50 after cleaning with warm water, soft cotton cloth and weak apc. This was done to the whole of the interior added with a damn good vac out, inside glass cleaned with valetex glass polish, all wood and clocks/fascias buffed then supagard fabric and upholstery gard applied to all carpets and matts. The boot was very clean so nly a quick vac, dust and supagard applied. Thanks for looking. :thumb:
