Another write up...this one a bit longer with more pictures. This person found me through a good customer of mine, they saw me me when they were dropping off their kid at my customers house a little while ago. Finally got a call from them to come clean up the one car. Car received a full interior detail with a light polish and protection to the exterior. Products used: Interior -Interior carpets, dash, nooks and crannies blown out with compressed air -Vacuum out while dusting dash with brush -Pretreat carpets with Folex then a light mist of OPC -OPC and steam on leather, door panels, and dash -Steam carpets -ONR light dilution interior windows Exterior - Wheels cleaned with sonax and then Iron X. - Wheel wells/tires/door jams cleaned with OPC - Rinsed with nomad sprayer - ONR wash - Clay with Griots yellow clay with ONR clay lube - Tar spots around lower panels removed with 3M adhesive remover - Polished with Flex 3401, Green Uber pad, and M205 - LSP Menzerna Powerlock via Blue Uber pad with PC - Aquaqax on wheels, exterior glass, and door jams - Perl on tires Time spent: A little over 5 hours Carpets pulled from vehicle Before and Afters: After interior Before And After Exterior Some of the deeper scratches remained, you can see them in the lower center of the picture Ok correction for a one step light polish Afters Thanks again! Great turnaround, hate to see those beautiful cars go to waste, really doesn't look like a mercedez with all those swirls. BTW, how do you get all those nice triangles on the carpets? Just seem so uniform in pattern
go up vertically and down at an angle (diagonally). Lol don't you ever vacum your house? Nice work with the detail! That paint was in horrible condition.
Thanks everyone for the comments! Yes Kaban you are right go up and down vertically on an angle. But this was with the triangle attachment on the steamer which seems the darken the carpets, enhancing the lines... To get them uniform what I do is go up, then pull back the right side of the bottom triangle....then push up to the right side of the top triangle (the one going the other direction). by doing this you should have them all the same size.. if that makes any sense? hard to explain.
That's very nicely done! Great job! I especially like this writeup because this car is the same as my DD Love the carpet wand pattern too, I am thinking of making a template so I can do that every time lol
