So my GLK's passenger B-Pillar is a bit scratched up ever since I picked it up from the dealership and it just some hows makes my whole finishing imperfect. Is this B Pillar machine polish-able? or should i use 805RD on an applicator and hand polish it out somehow.

I see forum members polish the B-Pillars all the time here. I'm sure someone will provide some feedback.

just did my e63 pillars with a flex 3403 liteweight a 3 inch white pad and meguires 83 a medium agressive polish. took it slow and they are now perfect. probably the only truly rid free part on car.

I usually use a 4 inch white polishing pad and a finishing polish like 85rd. A couple passes with the PC on speed 4 or 5 does the trick.

you can correct it just the same as you would paint. just take it nice and slow, and be sure to mask off all four sides of the pillar.

Whatever polish you think you need... use one thats slightly less aggressive than that.

Example: You think Menzerna Powerfinish will do the job, first try out 106FA.

Correcting B-pillars is easy if you take it slow and carefully, the defects come out easier than paint IMO. The hardest part is getting it to finish down haze free, for that my go to would be 85rd on a finishing pad low speed.

    Good luck, keep us posted

yep i used 805RD on my pillars with my 5.5" pads (yes i know theyre big) but yeah most of the defects got removed and topped it with powerlock.
