My client just got this and after riding it a few times, wanted a quick cleaning. The whitewalls were scrubbed with a toothbrush and citrus cleaner and then the whole bike was wiped down with Werkstat Acrylic Glos. The tank and fenders were finished with a coat of Pinnacle Souvern.

Creative use with the Coors pack:giggle:

Where do you get your Werkstat products from? How do you like them?

I just order straight from Jeff at Werkstat. The Werkstat products are great. There is a knack to using them but once you pick it up it's dead easy. I'm ordering some in the next week or so, is there anything you'd like to try. I'll send you a sample.

I did a white ML500 and it had some terrible brake dust as well and I needed to use Megs Wheel brightener (acid based) to clean them. However no matter how many times I cleaned and scrubed the inners of the wheel there was still some brake dust in there. What acid did you use?

Very generous of you to offer that up to me :thumb:

Problem for me is the garage is packed away for the winter and that puts detailing off untill spring again :gasp: I am pretty upset that I couldnt get my shed built this year so that I could use the garage as it was intended for........Mabey I need to learn how to not be such a pack rat:thud:

What Werkstat products do you enjoy using? Not much mention of those products around here........

Oh come on. Done til spring? It's one degree above zero here this morning and I'm heading out! Turn that frown upside down buddy! Their carnauba and acrylic line are nice - both are quite easy to use when you get the hang of it.

I'm a big fan of the new MLs, great looking SUVs! Where did you get those red applicators, and how do you like them?

They are CCS applicator pads and I believe are available from Proper Auto Care and Autogeek. I don't mind these but the nicest applicator pads I've found are the new Blackfire ones from PAC. They look like the German pads but they are yellow and white. Very fine foam makes it easy to lay down a thin layer of whatever you are using.:bla2:
