A friend of mine just bought these quarter window louvers for his Mustang off of a friend who lives halfway across the country. The friend wrapped them in bubblewrap and stuck them in a box for shipping. Apparently at one point during shipping they got rather hot and the bubble wrap decided to melt onto the paint. His friend agreed to pay for them to be repainted, but he wants me to try to remove it if possible first.

So I'm going to try a few things, but I was wondering if anyone happened to have any experience on stuff like this? More than likely it will come off with some aggressive compounding. Here are the pics he sent me

Do you have any body solvent? If you don't wipe over the area good with that. Then buff with a compound like m105. It should remove it. I cant see how the plastic could of bonded into the clear. So everything should work out.
