Just ordered the kit with both compound and finishing wax. Wondering if you have to use the compound that comes with it or use one that i already have like 105 or 101? also the wax do you have to use that also or one you carry? Thanks:shead:
You should be fine using the 105 or 101 but always do a test spot or use a test panel acquired from a scrap yard to get a feel for your new products. The finishing wax can be used on the mf pads or foam, but I wouldn't suggest using a different wax with the mf pad. From what I have experienced the finishing wax is a very very light polish/wax combination and that is why you can get a little more out of the finish with the mf pad or just using a liquid wax on it.
I recently did my son's car with 2 D300 and 1 M105 on the 5" Megs's MF. Worked out great and the test section with finishing polish did not add anything. 2 polishing passes and I was done!
