Any one ever use meguiars body solvent? Is it used straight or can it be cut? I am about to order some more meg's stuff, and wanted to see if its worth getting. ThanksInAdvance, Roger
I've used it and still have almost a full gallon left since I didn't like the way it worked. I didn't dilute it at all, and I still didn't get the results that were advertised with this product. I would say avoid this product, as there are many better products out there. I have had great success with P21S TAW and the Poorboys Bug Squash
It works on tar and light adhesives but it has to set for a long while. There are many other cheaper and better alternatives such as bug squash or CG Strong Wash. The body solvent does smell like cherry chap stick which is pretty nice though...
Do you use Strong Wash at the recommended dilution or stronger? Sometimes i find some of CGs recommended dilutions a little weak.
A good friend of mine said he used the Meguiar's Body Solvent and definitely was not happy with the product. Instead, he uses Goof Off which works a lot better but it's not exactly great for your health.
6-8 oz :1 Gallon of Water + 1 oz CWG to help with dwell time If you put that in a bottle with a foaming sprayer you have a very effective tar remover.
I just got my strong wash today. Boy is it pretty strong. I accidentally spilled some on my hand and it burned almost immediately.
I do not see why not. I have used strong wash and 2 oz per gallon CWG on engines and have had good results. It is not as aggressive as sticky wheel gel or grime reaper by any means. Even most lighter soaps or APC's will work well for cleaning engines if it does not have oil or other fluids spilled in the engine compartment.
