I've been using wheel brightener on beat up wheels and while it does get off most of the brake dust it leaves a little on. Am I diluting it too much? or should I just apply another application.

5:1 is the correct ratio, you may want to agitate it more............. it happens with all wheel cleaners; something is always left behind.

Kilo, Its actually 4:1. Four Parts Water to 1 part WB, If you do this and follow directions completely it should be amazing! Make sure the wheels are cool, Spray then agitate then spray again (Dont let it dry but also give it about 30 seconds to do its magic after each spraying) you may not even have to spray the second time but thats how I do it and its worked great for me.

I typically hit it with Wheel Brightener to clean the wheel pretty throughly, but there are usually spots that still have stuff on them. This is where the Sonax FE comes in and since all the other crap is gone, the Sonax can sit and work through the really tough stuff. Also, tarminator get the tar which can sometimes look like brake dust spots.

The gallon jug of wheel brightner says 4 : 1 ratio = 4 parts water , 1 part chemical.

sorry, you are right....... 4:1 Brain fart

best advice on WB is do one wheel at a time, and make sure the wheels have been throughly rinses, even spray some APC on it to counteract the acid.
