Is it paint safe? I remember reading to keep it away from wheels in general but not tires. I'm planning to use it as a tire cleaner anyway though

For how long it's going to be on there, you should be safe.

I use it at 4:1 on wheel wells and tires. I do spray the area (and the surrounding areas too) with the pressure washer before spraying with SD. I've never had an issue.

That's exactly the answer I was looking for. Tyvm

Sure thing. You probably don't need to use it as strong as 4:1, but that seems to really work well for me. It pulls a lot of stuff out of the tires/wells.

I also want to make it abundantly clear to directly answer your question. It is NOT paint safe, as far as using the product to clean the paint surface. When I said you should be safe, I was referring to the occasional overspray from spraying down the tires/wells.

I never used it on paint, I have P21S TAW that is safe for paint, as well as MS SGS. I do use Megs SD on tires, works very well, and is cost efficient.

Wet the rims before spraying with Meguiar's Super Degreaser.

If you're using it to clean the engine, you have to lather up surrounding painted surfaces with a coat of soap and water. It's totally not a paint-safe product, but accidental overspray is okay.

Super Degreaser is a dope product, cheap and effective, but offers a narrow range of applications.
