What is a good ratio for this to use on wheels and tires? Is apc even good for wheels? Also is it fine to use on chrome wheels?

im far from a pro, but a lot of detailers use APC for the rims as well as tires. Depending on which one, I would say most should be safe. Megs recommends 4:1 for heavy cleaning and 10:1 for light don't they?

I use to use 4:1 but switched to 10:1 since it had the same cutting power IMO. As for tires, I use amazing roll off.

When I ran out of ARO for my tires I went to Meg's APC 4:1 and it works great. Not as good as ARO but good enough.

Is Meg's safe for all factory wheels (chrome, painted, etc)

Megs APC is much safer then Wheel Brightener. I use it on wheels very often, 4:1 with a foaming sprayer. Cheap, effective, safe, and it works...But if you have uncoated alluminum wheels, that sucks. You would have to use P21S wheel cleaner, which is quite pricey.

10 to 1 for me if the wheels are bad i use Super degreaser 4 to 1

Hmm, looks like I'll try between 4-1 and 10-1. Just seems easier to use on wheels tires and wheel wells rather than a wheel cleaner, tire cleaner And wheel arch cleaner

4:1 is great on both wheels, and tires... just make sure to use high quality brushes for both surfaces.

APC is a great way to clean chrome wheels because it rinses well, and chrome won't be harmed by it.

damn it, looks like i'm going to have to purchase ANOTHER megs slide lock for my wheels now, I think that will make 4 in my collection.

the sidelock brush is ok if your wheels arent baked in brake dust sometimes a little more pursuasion is needed.
ive found plenty of stockists supplying swissvax/zymol style brushes for as little as £1.50 gbp and 5 brush sets for £10.00 gbp which is good value in my eyes.
so long as the apc's arent caustic most will do the job its all down to the dillution, a general 4:1-6:1 will cut the grain:thumb:

I like using Megs APC cut 4:1 for tires...however, IMHO, few things work better than Eagle One A-Z Tire Cleaner...including ARO.

Bunky - you're right in Raleigh - drive over to Majestic and get some Super Green - 1:1 for tires/wheels.
