I was interested in trying one of these Megs polishes but am not sure which one. I would like some input on which one would be better to get from you guys that have used it. They both say they remove up to #1200 grit scratches but neither says anything about diminishing abrasives like the other Megs polishes. Thanks

Both #95 and #105 utilize micro abrasives rather than diminishing abrasives. This seems to be the foremost technology in milled abrasives. I own and use #105 and recommend it for the removal of sanding scratches; however, its short working time prevents it from being an ideal "go to" compound. I have not used #95 but am aware it uses the same abrasive technology as #105 and has an increased working time. I would imagine the finish left by both products would be comparable. It is really a matter of preference; I enjoy traditional working times and therefore will be trying #95 before I pick up another container of #105. Additionally, #95 is a little cheaper. Hope this helps.

I started out using 105 and it cuts incredibly well. My complaint is with its user friendliness. There's a big learning curve.

I was able to try 95 on a few cars and I like it much much better. It is very easy to work with. I'm not sure if the cut is the same, but if I had to pick one, I'd personally go with 95 most of the time. 105 would be used for spot compounding (not an entire vehicle).

I agree with what's been posted so far. Working with M105 is all new to me, however M95 works like any other polish I've used. I sort of like the longer working time of the M95 but haven't given up on M105 yet. According to Meguiar's M105 is the higher tech of the two, it should finish down nicer too. M105 works crazy good by hand! I haven't tried M95 by hand yet.

So I say, pick them both up! :)

It's definitely worth it to have both IMO. There are times (at least for me anyways) where M105 can be finnicky even though you'd think you have it down pat.

IME, I've actually had M95 finish down as nice as M105 on hard paints. Generally it's easier to work with wool pads than foam and PFW; YMMV.

Still experimenting myself with Meg105, with my Defelsko DFT Meg105 on LC flat orange pads it takes out 3-4 um in 1 application.
I used it on 2.5 cars so very green still. Never try meg105 outside on warm days, you'll be sorry you ever try it. Never spread and re-pass always put a line on the paint and work it right away.
I cheat by priming my pad with Menz IP first. The reason: is that I have a feeling (Love Meg105 so Meguiars don't sue me) it's water base with a touch of chlorine, ,so when dry it embedded into the paint. A little oil from Menz IP helps from sticking to paint but still very effective removing defect.

I can PM you a US dealer who has 12oz sample on Meg105 if you want bu last time figuring S/H, wait time etc; It's not worth my trouble so I walked into local auto paint store and bought me 32oz for $28 US. Best polish I ever used if you are willing to try it.

I've used the M105 about 10 times now and I think I'm starting to get the hang of it.

Here's a 50/50 on the trunk of a 2004 Accord I did last night. Went straight to the Ultrafina after the 105.

P.S. For those of you with "eagle-eyes" that's not a hologram over there in the corner... I did a quick qd wipedown before I took the picture and the camera picked up a streak I missed :detective:

M105 is simply fantastic. I have both M95 and M105 but never really found a good reason to use M95. M105 finishes really clean and nice, few people can debate that. For the level of cut that it has, I don't know of anything that can finish down like that.
