I figured I'd make a thread about what we all enjoyed about the meet and whatnot. It was great meeting people you've talked to on here for so long and seeing how they do things, and trying out new products. Phil's shop was also like a pilgrimage to Mecca that I felt we all needed to experience. A lot of the pictures are pretty funny, like me making the same pose every time. Faults 1.We spent a lot of time at Phil's shop really doin nothing, and coulda had more time to work on the cars. 2.We were very disorganized...running around like idiots haha. 3.Making fun of the Wookie's fist. This is probably a live and conscious being, and openly making fun of my wash mitt will not be tolerated as it will hurt it's feelings. (I'm looking at you Dave) 4. Bobby needs to sleep. Most of the time we spent was restating our questions until he could comprehend. Red Bull < Sleep. 5. Roger was threatening people with the decontamination kit and the hose. That being said, I had a blast. Learned a couple new things, still have dirt on my arms, and plan to do this again sometime soon. Please post up all your pics if you have them. :thumb:
LOL ... Kyle, I got your small hex wrench. PM me so I can send it to you. It was nice meeting you dude!
I can just pick one up at the hardware store, no big deal. What size is it? Thank you for being honest though.
You need to add these faults ... people need to bring their own mf's. I'm washing my second freakin' load of mf's. Ev asked me in advance and Billy brought his on stuff, but come one guys ... mf's aren't that expensive!!! We also forgot the IPA wipedown stuff ... and we also learn that Emile's IPA wipedown wasn't diluted and was streakin' the paint ... LOL
the best time todoa meet is in the summer when its light out till like 930 at night ..this would give us alot more time do get done waht we wanted too...but that sais this was a nice meet......
If any of you guys have a harbor freight that is near you and carries the Cen-Tech Paint Gauge would any of you mind picking me up one. I will pay for the gauge as well as a little more for your time and gas to go retrieve it. After seeing the thickness on my truck, I definitely need one.
For the record BEFORE Emiles ingenious straight IPA, I did get about 90% correction on the Sentra. We needed before and afters, G how far did you guys get on that after I left?
dave it was nice meeting you .been following your details for a while.. and by the way that car of yours is bad ass!!! i think i want one ... tom
What the hell? I told you guys BEFORE you started using the alcohol, that it was 91% IPA undiluted and that you should dilute it with water before using it. I remembered it at the last minute before leaving so I didn't have a chance to mix it myself; don't rag on me because you guys came unprepared. For the record, I can attest to Dave's correction on the hood of the Sentra with M105, Hydro Cyan Pad, and my Flex XC3401 using the Kevin Brown Method. He got more than 90% correction with that system. He just wasn't aware that I was intentionally trying to sabotage him. Muahahahhahaa!!!!
LOL ... me and bobby didn't get far with the sentra. After you left I started messing around with the M105 on the right fender and manage to splatter M105 all over the place ... lol I finally had a chance to remove the M105 only to find out that this paint is so freaking soft that wiping IPA with the wrong mf will induce scratches. "emile ... dude ... why are you still smiling? ... this is straight IPA" ... a classic line dude!!!
