I got the opportunity to work on a 2012 McLaren MP4-12C from a wonderful client of mine and decided to make a video of the full process. I often get asked, "what exactly do you do?" Well this shows the start to finish process of a paint correction detail, about 11 hours of filming to make this short video. A big thanks to my client for the use of his vehicle for the video and a big thanks to McLaren of San Francisco for the use of their facility and the wonderful hospitality they showed me. And also thanks to Recourse Media for the great job they did with the video. Make sure to watch in High Definition Hope you enjoy! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D62k...DvjVQa1PpcFOmiNJYk25R8gck6e1tIVyfyUTHJofaYQA= *mods, since this has my business name in it and is technically promoting the business, feel free to take it down if its crossing the line
damn i really need to get on the bandwagon and make a video. I have seen a couple make video's lately and it's a awesome way to show everyone including potential clients what you do and how its done. Great video man, very well done. Not to mention great work on the car. Can't believe a 2012 looked like that . . . . . paint was pretty beat for being new. I think i added you on facebook not to long ago but i can't remember. I need to double check.
Damn that's a pretty good video. Great work on the car and on the video. What was that side grate you were using, a modified Grit Guard?
That is a really cool video! Love the videography and the professional looking angles, pan shots, etc. It really shows how much work a full detail is, and how careful and professional you must be when working on such an exotic car. That inspires me to get one done as well haha. Keep up the great work!
nice video Jeff. the one thing that i liked most about the video was the transition from "before" to "after". the video shows the defects in a panning shot and then it displays the same area in a panning shot but obviously after correction.
Thank you! There were some defects that needed attention for sure, but McLaren paint responds well to correction, so it all got sorted out. Thanks Ebbe! Thank you! Its kinda like a cross between a wash board and a grit guard. Brilliant idea. Can't remember where I found it though, on one of the major detail retail sites I think. Much appreciated Thanks so much! I just turned them loose as they were the camera pros, and was very pleased with the result. Glad it was inspiring to you! Thanks! Not the easiest to do on a pearl white, but glad it translated well in the video. Thank you Thanks Karl :thumb: Sorry to hear that Mike, did it ever work for you? Thanks! :headbang: Thank you kindly
great video ..im guessing you hired a crew to film...what was the blue very thin tape you where using
It's wonderful how easily accesible this technology is for everyone now. Even the most basic SLR cameras have the abilities to record video, so straight out of the box these videos are very easy to make. Add a lil dubstep and you're good. I have to say that everyone REALLY likes the panning shots these days. Sales of skateboards must have skyrocketed. Great video, nicely done.
Thanks! Thank you! The credit for the great camera work goes to Recourse Media! Sure did. Recourse Media, and they did a great job. The tape is 3M "Fine Line" 1/4" tape. Thanks Danny! Thank you very much!
