Haven't seen any new entry's in the monthly competition,so I thought I'd throw one in. Just finished this bad boy this weekend. Sadly it was in horrible shape. I had to wet sand some of the car. Brought it back to life with Megs 105 (old version) and rotary, cleaned up my buffer marks with Megs 205 and Flex 3401 and topped it with Blackfire's wet ice over fire. A couple out side pics. And some nice reflection shots. The interior got Megs leather cleaner & conditioner, windows were razor bladed to remove over spray from the repaint and micro detailed the gauge cluster and dash. And finally the engine compartment. ( the moroso air cleaner lid was beyond help.) This was a labor of love. This has got to be one of the tuffest looking cars left on the road. Hope you enjoyed this one guy's, I sure did. Thanks for looking. All comments good or bad are welcomed.
That tough looking car was in tough shape, but you really brought it back to life!! How long in total?
Outstanding work! Question for you, if you don't mind. Did you take extra precautions, or otherwise change your usual course of action, for working on the engine bay of a car this old? I don't mean to hijack your thread, so PM me if you'd rather. The car looks great!
No problem. I did use a little more caution then I do on say a newer BMW or vehicle of the like. This Car had an open face alternator but I did not cover anything,I was just careful not to spray directly at electrical components with my power washer. Thanks for your kind words.
that thing looked hammered! what a turn round, that looks stunning:thumb: wished i had the chance of playing with one of them, i love the classic chargers, ss, camaro's etc just isnt many that have people wanting them detailed over here.
