Hi guys, Since Ive never seen a PC machine before Ive been wondering about how its movements compare to the Makita BO6040 Dual action R/O that I have. The reason for this is simply because i read so much about paint corection being done via PC with different compounds and polishes. I want to know how I can relate these write ups to what I can produce with my Makita. Does anyone use the same Makita? Can you explain the similairties and differences between the makita and the PC. Thanks heaps. Brett.
Your Makita can do so much more than the ROB's you are reading about. The 6040 is a great machine. My only complaint is it is a little heavy and the Flex has better ergonomics.
When I read about certain products being used with a PC to great results, I often think which seeting on my makita is an equivalent. Are the PC's more like the true random orbital function of the Makita, or the forced rotation setting? Just so i know that Im getting similar results without having to switch to the Rotary on certain jobs.
The PC 7424 XP is like the random orbital function because thats what is It does not have forced rotation that is a function that your Makita and the Flex 3401 have that the PC lacks. Your polisher has much more correcting capabilities than the PC.
