The owner of this car had to have it done by the end of the month as it was getting shipped out b/c he had sold it..I believe sight unseen although I'm not sure. I had to squeeze it into the week before my surgery so he brought it on a Sunday night and I worked on it a bit every night and delivered it on Thursday night after 13.5 hours. Anyway, the LR arrived just as I was delivering the BMW so I got started on it right away to be able to work on it during daylight hours. Therefore there are no BEFORE pics, only afters. When I downloaded them, I took note of the year of it just as I did for the BMW and an Infiniti that I did after this one. Unfortunately, I can't get up the stairs to the 3rd floor where my other computer is to check the years, so they will be missing from the description of all three vehicles. It might be an '05 but I can't remember for sure so I'm not saying. I don't like being disorganized.:shakehead:

    The Process:

    Wheels/Tires/Wells:

    Tires cleaned with Kleenol

    Wells dressed with Adams Undercarriage

    Wash/Clay:

Foamed with DG soap and Zep Citrus
Washed 2 bm with DG soap and grout sponge
    Clayed with CM blue

    Head/Tail lights:

Compounded with 3" 3m orange pad and UCCL
Polished with 4" blue pad with DG plastic polish
    Sealed with DG 105

    Glass:

Steam cleaned with 2 mf method
Sealed with DG 105 by hand

    Paint:

Compounded with orange pad with SIP or PG as needed to remove scratches
Polished with blue pad with Micro polish
Cleansed with DG 501 with blue pad with UDM
Sealed with DG 105 via UDM and gold pad
*NB: all compounding and polishing done with Dynabrade rotary

    Trim:

Dressed with Black Wow...gonna be looking to trade it..P.M. me if interested

    Interior:

Rubber floor mats foamed initially then treated with Crappy Tire shine
Carpets vigorously vacuumed (sorry..I liked the alliteration of that)
    Carpets stain treated with Folex
    Carpets steam cleaned

Looks really good, that DP tire gel looks pretty wet. Does it dry well enough or is it greasy? A little splotchy on the inner door panel or might be the lighting.

Very well done, Richy! I like that look you get on tires from DP tire gel. And it's pretty durable too. That Black WOW lasts around a month or so on trim, with trim pre-cleaning with APC.

I gotta get a better camera...that shot looks awful as does the seat backs on another one..but trust me..they were perfect! I apply the DP gel on hte 1st night of a 2 day detail so they dry up nice without being greasy but retain their wet look..I'm a big fan of that stuff. Wait till you see the Infiniti QX when I post it: I put the tire gel on hte trim and it looks amazing! Actually, I did that on the driver's side of the LR2 because the BW was such a pain in the ass to work with!
I didn't use that much and switched to DP tire gel after less than 1/2 the car.
    Thanks..I do like the stuff!
I neglected to say it in my writeup, but while doing the wheels, I sprayed teh trim wiht Zep Citrus and agitated with a brush; so I got 'er nice and clean!
    Thanks Denzil!
    Thank you sir!
No kidding..that and cordite! Thanks Buddy!
