this is one i did a while back. got to the car and from a distance it looked well..........then i got closer, oh my god it was covered in fall out, tar, the wheels were nasty, you name it. so on with a nice bout of snow foam. and a good going at the wheels with an acid based cleaner then valetpro bilberry allsafe wheel cleaner then waxed with meguiars mirror glaze as i forgot my smart rimwax ( oops! ). sorry no after shot of the wheels then on to the claybar treatment, meguiars quick clay and last touch detailer. before any critics pick out the hydra blade in the bucket it wasnt used for this job and no animals were halmed in this exercise after a quick polish up and a couple of coats of dodo orange crush. voila! one seriously wet, glossy looking lotus. then a quick vac and tidy up on the interior and one lovely looking car, one very happy customer. thanks for looking :thumb:
Nice work, Scott! Man that thing looks like it would be a major PITA to polish with all the curves and crannies...
it was only polished by hand though it is booked in soon for a paint correction as its still a bit swirly but in a whole other than the area under and around the rear wing it should be quite an easy correction, it looks worse than it is beleive me:thumb:
I'm still convinced these vehicles are ideal for track use/abuse :thumb: Not only that but they look like a fly on steroids :woo: Vehicle looks great, thanks for sharing eace:
the guy loves it to bits and has gone from monthly cleans to weekly ( hes seen that it keeps getting better and better ) its got standard tyres which were just legal for road use, stage 3 exhaust system, cat removed and a remap..............it moves for sure.:thumb:
I can definitely see why the owner would like to maintain the vehicle nice and clean, small but very gorgeous, gorgeous vehicle. Love every curve it has. I wonder, does the owner use this vehicle as a daily driver or as a weekend driver...or better yet track events?
beleive it or not but its an everyday driver. he did have a lotus elise which he eventually used on track aswell as everyday, then got into motorbikes and started private racing them, long story but ended up buying the exige s and here we are.:thumb:
Now that would be a wicked vehicle to drive on a daily basis, just imagine driving to the office every day on that bad boy :druling: :druling: Thanks for sharing eace:
office? he's an auto mechanic nica..........dont know how he gets all his money but hey i wont judge him..........he keeps coming back to spend money with me lol. cheers for the com's:thumb:
Sweet even better, I sometimes wished I went more to the mechanical side of things, could come in real handy with the car addiction I got going on. As for money, money is money and that is that :thumb:
