    hey guys,

this year was my learning year. tried hitting all of my customers with the best waxes like swissvax and most just dont care, they want cheap "glossy" wax, no polish but want you to detail the hell out of the interior.

my methods must and will change.....

can any of you suggest the best liquid waxes on the market? I am considering the following but need something that I will apply with my PC and a red LC pad. need something that can apply, let it sit on the car while I go after the interior:

Four Star Ultimate Paint Correction - heard great reviews and good things about this. does it cure fast? what if I apply it in the sun? I know I know, no wax in the sun, but you can do that with collinate 845.

Menzerna FMJ - love this stuff and use it but it has to stay on the car for 40 minutes after you have applied it so as to cure properly. do any of you apply this and buff it in under 40 minutes? also the issue of being in the sun factors in on this one.

am looking to get this stuff down as I want to be ready for detailing when the warm weather comes back to the northwest.

    thanks again,

    godoman

Werkstat Jet Trigger is a fast sealant to apply. Hear it looks great and could apply it to the whole car and buff off same time it takes to do normal wax as it is just spray on wipe off. It has some great durability also, and you can use Prime as the pre-cleaner and remove some light marring. Another one, but not the best durability, would be Opt. Opti-Seal as it is just a wipe on and that is it product.

    great info, love the feedback

    thanks

anybody else have suggestions or have any of you used four star liquid wax and can give feedback. I have heard good things about the opti brand and looks like it is a "must try" product.

how about Jetseal by chemical guys. heard that stuff is up there with menzerna FMJ.

but can you apply it to a customers car in the sun after washing and claying the car? cant find anything online that says either way.

I haven't tried it, but what about Duragloss 111? I've read positive testimonies about it, and DG says it can be applied in the sun. And the price is right!

collinite 845, 1Z glanzwax, Werkstat AJT, Blackfire Wet Diamond, Duragloss 105.

All have good durability and are easy to use.

What are you trying to achieve? What are your preferences in order between:

    1) Ease of use / time to apply
    2) Cost of the product
    3) Durability
    4) Looks

I think there are a lot of products out there that will move in between these parameters.

Four Star UPP is a great product. Leaves the paint slicker than any other sealant i've used and IIRC it has a quick cure time. I would usually do the whole car then buff off.

I haven't used straight FMJ but rather the menz Acrylic Jacket (it's a mix of FPII/FMJ), and I didn't let it cure at all. Simply polished on, then buffed off. Maybe that's why I had some poor durability

Why not use optiseal .It can be applied the sun. Just wipe it on and walk away .No wiping off

I've used pretty much all the sealants mentioned and would say that Colli 845 is the way to go. Very good durability with one coat. DG 105 also has good durability with just one coat.

Yeah, it really depends on what your looking for price-wise and durability-wise.

Only reason I would hesitate against 845 is because I've heard it has a pretty wicked odor, bad enough to make people not use it.

    wow,

while I was away you guys really hit me back on all of the products list.

I tried collinate 845 on a white pick up and was not really impressed but that is because white hides everything alot more then black would.

everyone is asking me the same thing, what am i looking to achieve? here it is:

something that can be applied in the sun

something that has excellent durability, dont want customers complaining the shine and beading does not last.

something that does not have to sit and cure, something that i use my PC to apply and then can buff off right away with alot of shine.

had a meeting with the honda dealership close to my house and told them about my expensive steamer, extractor and quick process of pumping out cars and they were interested all the while I was thinking in the back of my head that I really do need a sealant (because sealants are more durable) that can be applied and wiped off and that is that.

if this works out I will start hitting all of the dealerships
