Has anyone ever tried putting leather conditioner on their flat black wheel spokes? I just tried it on one of my wheels and the immediate result was an intense rich black that pops almost as if they're painted gloss black, but not. I can't tell yet if its going to make any nasty marks once its dried. Im really hoping it doesnt. My question is has anyone tried this? Could anyone tell me if they were happy with the results or not or if this is a big no no or what? Thanks for the help!

Its' actually not the tires... its the spokes of the rims themselves. Mine are flat black no polish or clearcoat. It turns out the Leather Conditioner works wonders. It makes the spokes look like velvet. i wasnt sure what would happen with the drying process but everything turned out to be fine. Just spray the leather conditioner into a microfiber and wipe the spoke untill you remove all the dirt( apply however many times you want) then let them self dry. Make sure you clean any part of the wheel that is aluminum or magnesium (not painted flat black )with a quickdetailer; If you get any leather conditioner on the aluminium or magnesium parts it will make it appear foggy and you'll have to rubb it with quick detailer/polish for a while to get it out.

i have spent hours cleaning the spokes on my wheels trying to get them to look the way the leather conditioner made them look in 5 mins. Just make sure its Meguires Gold Class Leather Conditioner (its the only one ive tried and others might not work)

I’m really glad someone has found a use for redundant leather conditioners.

As they are of absolutely no use on polyurethane covered upholstery that is found in 90+% of vehicle upholstery

(I still haven’t fathomed the thought process behind ‘conditioning’ plastic!)
