After using AG polish for some time, finially chip in for some meg polish and pads. Initially wanted to get m105 and m205 but unfortunately m205 is still not available locally so the meg rap recommended me the m80.

Now, i would like to use the m105 with Lc purple wool and m80 with either the LC green/ white or the Meg's polish pad with my makita. Will the m80 too weak to remove what the m105 left behind? It may not be the perfect finishing option but it is possible to finish with the m80?

No,it's not to weak. Megs #80 is a great product that I have used several times after 105. I use the CCS white pads & #80 after #105 and PFW pad. Top it with your favorite LSP. Make sure you get the #205 when it's available, nothing but good reviews so far.

Thanks for sharing. I agree that m205 has nothing but good reviews from various forums, but it is almost 3-4 times the price.. But then, i just simply can't stop buying, damn.

I agree with SSTG; Meguiar's Speed Glaze should provide adequate cut to refine most finishes following Meguiar's Ultra Cut Compound. In my experience, it is difficult to achieve a perfect finish using this product in conjunction with a rotary as the final polishing step; regardless of pad. This product has to be worked for an excessive period of time for the abrasives to diminish to their full potential. I believe the heat generated by the friction of the rotary results in premature flashing of solvents utilized as a means to lubricate and suspend the abrasives. I have been able to consistently achieve a flawless finish using this product in conjunction with a dual action polisher and a finishing pad. This may only be necessary on flat black finishes, considering the marring left when using a rotary with this product is minimal and would be next to impossible to spot on a light finish; however, I feel it is important to share if you will be using this product frequently.

Yes, thank you milabfocker. I should have made that clearer. I use the Flex DA with a white CCS pad & #80 after rotary & #105. Sorry op.

Has anybody experience m105 gumming up with wool pad? I tried m105 with LC purple foam wool today on my friend's mazda 3 and really had a difficult time with it. m105 just instantly gum up on the paint and i coulden even do a even spread. I also tried with meg cutting pad and have no problem with it..

Did you lay down a bead of product and pick it up? For some strange reason it seems to help!

I tried applying straight to the pad first and it just gums up immediately when i try to spread the product. After a few attempts and it didn seems to work, i simple apply on the paint work and pick it up with the rotary. I am only able to spread more before it gums up. I also tried reducing the amount to 2 pea size as some suggested it could be too much product causing the gumming, but i went into dry buffing very soon and couldn't have enough to spread evenly. Strangely, with the meg cutting pad, i can work the area longer without gumming and it helps to give more cut than the wool.

Any idea what could be wrong?

Try cleaning your pad often. Then try using about 6" of product and pick it up, work in small sections. I find it actually has a pretty long work time. Mind you if you are new to wool pads, they do suck up a lot of product initially. Try a couple quick light spirts of detail spray on a wool pad before using it.
