Hey guys, for the past few years I have been trying to land a client that owns a high end used car dealership. He has had the same detailer for years who has recently he has gone out of business. So the dealer has finally given me a chance. He sells mostly BMW, Audi,Porsche, and Mercedes Benz. I was wondering if any one had any product suggestions. I know he is picky about interiors and especially leather so any advise on interior clean tips or tricks that worked really well with these cars. I have only been in business for 3 and this is my second job so I haven't tried all the products out their yet and i am not attached to any. I really would love to land this client and he said he would give me one car as a try out so i reAlly need to knock it out the park. Thanks for all your help.
Im pretty happy with Chemical guys leather cleaner and conditioner, diluted ZEPS APC, and zaino leather in a bottle.
If time permitting,I use Leatherique. Other than that its 1Z Leather Care. And what Kilo said if you buy bulk type items. Nothing wrong with CG Leather Cleaner and Conditioner.
I like using OPC at 3:1 to clean leather...it's all I use anymore. Relatively inexpensive and safe on all leather so I don't have to worry about it damaging anything. I use Duragloss leather conditioner.
Thank you for all your suggestions I will be sure to pick some of these products up. If you don't mind I would like to ask you another question. That question is BMW Interiors. what do you guys use on their seats and dash boards?
Einszett also makes a nice leather cleaner/conditioner that works great on BMW leather. I Detail hundreds of Bimmers and have had great success with this product. Some people do not want a "leather smell" in their vehicle, so for those, I use Spinneybeck Leather Conditioner, which is the people who make a lot of hides for automotive and other uses. This product is what they put on their hides after tanning and getting them ready to sell. It has zero odor and leaves a nice, clean, matte finish, and does a great job of conditioning. Another great leather conditioner is made by Zaino and they also make a top notch leather cleaner. I like to use their leather conditioner in combination with steam for initial cleaning, and always get great results. Their leather conditioner also works great and has a really nice leather smell that some Clients just love. Dan F
+1 on that. For heavily soiled surfaces I do OPC 3:1 (I literally use this on everything) and then 303 Aerospace Protectant for dressing.
I use Sonax or leather master both work great and I all so have used Einszett it all so is a great product. Todd
